Lifting heavy vs. less weight/higher reps

Sassy you're an inspiration to us all! Seems like people in your age group have finally got it right. I mean the generation before had dieting all wrong. There are a lot of fit people in their 20's but still a bunch of lazy people too. I just can't wait to be 40 and have the body of a 25 year old beat :)

lol... Sassy is one of an extremely small handful of people in that age bracket who "got it right". In general, the majority of women 35+ are the ones who have it all wrong. Who makes up 95% of personal training clients? Middle-aged, overweight women.

Thx guys. Honestly I didn't really "get it" until I was 35. I actually did the "no carb" diet for 2 months before I started my competition training just to see what it would do. I did lose weight. I also was left w/ sort of flabby legs despite all my years of training. And you can see that reflected in my competition pix. That's a big that will be different this time around. My legs have 4 yrs of heavy training & eating behind them now. BTW I will also add that over the last 4 yrs I've learned more about healthy living on EF than I have from anywhere!

Maybe I should get my mom to join this board & see if I can get her to start eating more protein & doing more resistance training .... Hmmmmmm.

Nope. Then I couldnt' make some of the comments that I do in front of my mom. She'd send me to my room on at least a daily basis.....

Funny... I have been working with my mom also. She has lost 35 pounds over 8 months... She has about 50 to go. We're working on it though. My sister-n-law is on another program I designed because she had plateaued... She has dropped one size so far in the past month. We're doing measurements and body fat calculations next month before the cruise. I like helping people out that want to really be helped and are willing to work at it!
