Yes sassy, this is the point where the body is looking for new energy source, which is fat. REmember, because your on a low carb diet, that means your body is constatnly burning fat because you aren't supplying your body with carbs for energy, but just because you are constanlty burning fat, that doesn't mean your burning body fat. You still have to cut calories to a significant amount to loose fat. BUT....when one first begins this diet, you dont' have to count calories. Because your body is going through a drastic change in energy source, you will burn fat. It's only after a certain period of time that you have to adjust your caloric intake in order to get more shredded ect...
I very seldom read people's discussion of keto diets where this information is truly understood...way to go cubano for having your info str8. (Sorry, couldn't avoid the pun. Ban me now if you must for corny pseudo-humor.)
I find keto diets to be totally impossible. But if I were to try to maintain one again, I would do a TKD...Theory being that you can consume carbs pre-weights to give you energy for the workout, then most should be depleted by the workout itself so you will be in a state of ketosis again fairly rapidly.
But, ARGH. I just feel like total doo doo on a diet without veggies and some fruit.
