How do you guys that compete hold on to your strength when getting ready for a contest? Anabolics? Is there any natural way to go about it?
 
well... since starting diet and everything... i have kept most of my strength.. but now im goin to start dropping my set rest period to 45 seconds so i have to drop the weight a little bit... after my comp i think i am goin to do a month of strength training, reps 4-8 , then start to bulk again puttin up good weight.... my 5 cents bro

Yes, anabolics would definitely help but on top of that another good way to maintain strength and energy is to increase your protein intake through foods, powders, and amino acids and to also increase your essential fatty acid intake like Flax and Olive Oils.
 
Yeah I pretty much figured it was inevitable. That's the only thing that fucks me up when cutting hardcore ... I can deal with the food, cardio, etc ... it's the loss in strength that gets me
