Ok, I'm going to date myself here, but I was in Atlantic City over the weekend, and I saw KC and the Sunshine Band in concert.

I liked them in the 70's, but had very low expectations for the show. I got to say, it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Any one else here old enough to remember them?

Would I be lying if I said no?

Now I would really be losing it if I asked you who opened for them, Uriah Heap?

yea they were the one of the best party bands back then
one of my other favs were earth wind and fire

The band was so good. He had two drummers, a complete horns section, three guitarists, and he was on the key boards. He also had for nearly naked babes dancing.

By the end of the show, even the 60 year olds with grey hair, who got comped tickets by the casino, were dancing.

i really enjoyed alan parsons
and ringo starr's all star band
the one i saw had peter frampton, the lead singer from bad company

4 hours of bliss

Best concert for me was Grateful Dead.
Next was the original Monster's of Rock tour.
After that, The Captain and Tenille.

I never saw the Dead -- always wanted too -- love um.

Also want to see Robert Plant or a Zepplin reunion.

Did you know Toni Tenille sang back up on the Dark Side of the Moon -- talk about six degrees of separation.

I'd say the best concert I ever saw was Motley Crue, but Rage was good as hell though too, there downfall was that they only played about 45 minutes!!!

Don't you hate that -- or when they do not sing the songs you want to hear -- I saw Bowie once and he did that.

"Thats the way, uh huh uh huh. I like it."

SSME will correct me if wrong. I know he corrected a bor once.

Best music ever came from the 70's! So many truly great bands with staying power.

I saw him (them) in Ocean City, Maryland in 1984.

Even way back then they were way, way out of the current music scene at the time.

Yeah, but were they good? They were great this past weekend -- sounded like George Clinton.

Actually, I think she was credited on "The Wall",

And yes, I saw Dead shows deep into the triple digits... and seeing Ray Charles, B.B.King, Etta James, the Fabulous Thunderbirds all on the same night was pretttttty creamy.....

Hey! Obiwan! you werent working for R.D. at Washington Street were you?!?!? We should swap catering horrors some time... lol

Yeah, we enjoyed it. It was one of those spur of the moment things. We were driving along Ocean Highway and I looked up at the marquee on the Convention Center and we were like, “K.C. & The Sunshine Band, Huh?" We both laughed and then decided, "Okay, why not.” The girl I was dating at the time remembered them too, so we went and saw them and had fun.

Best concert going these days in Bjorn Again. They are like ABBA impersonators but they look and sing exactly like them, only better. It's a freakin' time warp. They pretend like they are them and after a while you believe them. The audience was so flipped out at the concert I went to. I'd never seen such a frenzied crowd, but then again, it was San Francisco.
