actually was arguing with my fiance that getting waxed doesn't hurt....(we were watching 40 year old virgin) so i let her tak a couple of strips here and there off me....i can honestly say it doesn't hurt at all. i let her do my ankle, inside of my thigh and part of the pubic region....3 swipes and it didn't hurt at all. so ladies...ssshhhhh when it comes to getting waxed...man up! :evil:

also juts picked up my cardio breeze....took one this morning...didn't really notice a difference. what's the normal dosage on that shit anyway?

As long as the hair is in control then there are no issues!
What does the bottle suggest you take when it comes to the cardio breeze?
! Did you follow it up with cardio on empty? Or did you just pop 1 for the fun of it? It does make a difference. I think I only worked up to taking 2 of those a day on my diet down..
 
1-2 caps

start with one, bump to two, you shouldnt HAVE to go to three. And just in case do not take after 3-5 pm depending how you react to it.

it says don't go over 4 in an 8 hour period or some shit. well, i took 1 this morning after my shake...tomorrow i'll try 2 i guess. but no i didn't lift or do cardio aftre it. should i only take it on an empty stomach right before cardio? i was just thinking it it would give me energy in general for the day

yeah def will not take aftre 3 bunz...i take lunesta at night so i try not take anything like this to close together

I did not feel it if I was taking it with food... IMO the best affects I have from it were pre cardio and pre weights. I noticed a difference in my energy through my work-outs. If I took it and came to work, it did not feel the same...

JP cardio breeze is also a thermogenic fat burner. You don't have to take it before training specifically, it's just that alot of people do. When was the last time you took a thermo?

Yes definetly be aware of burn out, ect with Ephedrine HCL or any other strong stimulant (Thermorexin).

Na, they won't send me a sample :p

I did however go through a 180 count T-rex bottle before, lol :evil: (that took me quite a long time)

been a while since i have taken a thermo....i try and stay away from them as i hate feeling all "geeked" out. i've taken amplify02 before and i did notice a huge difference in focus...as far as energy is concerned...eeehhh not to sure. purecee does nothing for me but i still take it occasionally....took another cardio breeze this moening...no workout. i think the stims are more brought out aftre i have 1 cup of coffee....ususally i'm not this hyper with one cup so i guess it does work. i may take 2 tomorrow morning....we shall see.

question....when doing ohp's or any shoulder presses really....i notice my upper right pectorial feels like it's being stretched...not painful it just feels like it's being worked a little when the left side feels normal. i had my surgery on my right shoulder so that may have something to do with it? just curious

That sounds backwords... HA HA HA

Anyway..

Sounds like your anterior deltoid and upper clavicular chest fibers may need to be stretched more often to match the other side. Your pec attaches into the bicipital grove on the arm so moving your arm overhead, is stretching the fibers.

ok...i stretch both sides before during and after chest and shoulder exercises...i always thought my imbalances were rare but it seems most people on here have some imbalances...one leg lonegr then the other etc.

Well if there is an imbalance and you stretch both equally then the looser side could be getting more laxed, and you may not notice the improvement on the tighter side because the imbalance is still there. Some of it could have to do with the whole shoulder joint though. I'm sure it does not rotate in the socket the same. I wish I could type up my 5 minute shoulder rehab I do but I just can't explain it right... Like I would have to actually show you.

Could always just try stretching the tighter side twice as much as the looser side and see if they begin to balance out.... I dunno it's a thought anyway.
 
hey guys...thx for the pms, karma etc and caring about my well being....means alot. i've been super busy at work...making my trading desk alot of money so i can't complain :) plus i had some personal things going on and i've been pretty drained. might as well post wed training while i have a second!

shoulders

standing OHP (smith machine) 95x20 (warm up) 115x15, 125x12, 135x10, 145x8, 155x5. to be honest i loved them! i can actually go pretty heavy on these and not hurt my lower back as much as i thought it would. i might try and do these sans smith machine next week just about 20lbs lighter on everything the good thing about the smith is that there was almost 0 stress on the lower back and felt it all in my shoulders and little abdominal.

rear delts 3x12-15 25's 30's 30's

front raises 25x12, 30x10, 35x8

side laterals 25x15, 30x12, 35x10

upright rows 85x12, 95x10, 105x8

did some rope crunches for stomach and called a night. overall thought it was a great shoulder workout...i'm excited about the standing ohps!!

decline db skull crushers lol used 30's and got 8...stopped after 1 set...just didn't enjoy them

ok so i've been away from ef for a while...i've had tons of things going on in my life. i've been trying to keep a positive outlook on everything but it has been extremely difficult to do so as of late. no real reason why....just in a rut or a funk if you will. took a week off from the gym ...really bc i had lost my urge do go....i've only been eating about 3 or 4 meals a day....mostly a protein shake in the morning and ramen noodles later on in the day or something easy to make. def have been drinking too much to try and make myself feel better...that has def not been a good move haha. def feel more depressed in the morning by doing that. i have never felt like this and it's def scary b/c i've always been pretty happy...and no matter what i always had my passion for training. well i haven't been happy at all and my passion is next to nothing these days.

today i'm trying to get all my meals in as usual...hitting the gym later (chest/back) and hopefully i'll snap out of this mini depression soon b/c i can't think of one good reason for me to be upset about. well, there are a few actually haha...mostly repressed memories but i'm seeing a therapist now and hopefully i'll look back on this in a few weeks and laugh it off. i'm getting married in a few months...and i have my whole life ahead of me. anyway...just decided to incorporate this into my log since i haven't been on here in a while and it's a good way for me to vent.
 
Hope u find that spark soon, u have a good log, u contribute a lot to the site and u seem to be a good bro.

Try to focus on some inspirational/motivational activities (for a lot of my friends for instance, as cliche as it is, popping in pumping iron or reading a bill phillips body for life book and seeing all those before/afters gets them re-focused), and someone friend/therapist/family that u can talk to. And don't forget that dreaded feeling u get when u decide to go back after a long layoff, and u will be back, about all the progress u could have made (I HATE THAT ONE MORE THAN ANYTHING).

p.s. just wanted to let you guys know i got my cortisone injection about 1 1/2 weeks ago...and i did bent over rows today .....finished with 155 i think for 5. elbows tucked in tight and no jerking what so ever!! felt great...back a little sore now but i was able to do it which was exciting. as far as deadlifts are concerned i think i'll keep those at bay and stick with the bent over rows since that seemed to not really bother me.

next challenge is standing ohp's....i think i'll be able to nail it though

legs (day 1...hitting them twice a week now tuesdays and saturdays)

smith machine squats 95x5 115x5 135x5 155x5 165x5 did these slow and controlled ass to da floor and eyes rolled up to da ceiling! could do more weight.....still getting back into the groove of things with m back. not sure if i'll add the weight or not as my back was not strained with this weight...we'll see.

leg curls 3x10

db lunges 3x10 30lbs (my fuggin arse is killing me today)

calves stuff

10 minutes on incline treadmill 10% at 3.2mph

my diet as of late has been spotty to say the least with the holidays....gonna have to try and correct that this week.

I was wondering about your log but this just answered my question I posed in my own.

Just so you know cortisone injections can be a temporary relief as well.... May want to see about setting some funds aside if possible next year to also get your shoulders worked on with massage.
Just a thought anyway...
 
had some things going on in my life...not the best of times for me personally and basically lost all interest in everything...including training and ef. but i feel much better these days :)

yeah my shoulders are all fugged up....my left needs surgery but i won't do it and the right side of my body is noticeably weaker and a tad smaller then the left. eeeh i'm not entering any comps so i don't really mind the imbalances anymore but it would be nice not to have them

standing ohp 65x15, 95x12, 105x10, 115x8, 125x6 drop set 105x5 my strength levels were a little off i think since this is the first time i'm doing them sans smith machine and i also took the week off so aftre the first 2 sets i was feeling the pain already. i think next week or the week after i'll be able to hit 135x5 depending on if my back holds up.

yep...back in action baby!!! a little upset b/c my back was doing fine until yesterday...in some pain today. need to do more stretching!!! i have to go for 2 more shots and then the doc said i should be fine....let me tell you something though...getting that procedure done sucked ass!!! a needle 6 inches long going into my back is not fun at all...then when they start shooting the steroids ins....damn!!! lol

stories....hmmm. well my sister had a xmass party and someone ended up bring a karaoke machine. so after about 12 diet and bacardi's i shut off the music which everyone was thoroughly enjoying...turned on the machine....grabbed the mic while people were screaming and yelling for me to turn the cd back on....put the mic to my mouth and told everyone to shut the fawk up b/c it's tank hour now! then i preceded to play neil diamonds kentucky woman and blew everyone away with my dazzling vocals and my captivating charm! that plus i didn't even need to look at the screen b/c i knew all the words by heart...i had a few slabs of mortadella thrown at me in the begining (my sister ordered a 6 foot hero for the occassion) but after about 45 seconds i had established a huge fan base that were soon joining in on the chorus and set off a feel good vibe like at the end of the movie rudy when they started chanting his name ....and if that's wrong i don't wanna be right!

that's great! yeah i only had a few beers which is very unlike me...i was proud of myself :) we played a game called left right center....it's a dice game. i got some wood out of the deal which was cool!

lower back...l4 l5 and a few others all fugged up...herniations, degenrations etc....yes i'm stretching and doing the exercises i was told to do but the docs don't know i'm doing bent over rows or squats :evil: when i took the week off my back was totally fine...felt good in fact..no pain whatsoever....but then i started trainign again and it started hurting again.

it's hard to take it easy when i know my strength levels are there.......but your right. i should take it easy :)

I went back to the gym for the first time last night in months, and I was trying to take it easy too, I ended up smashing the weights on the leg curl cause it was too easy LOL. unfortunatley my back today did not agree with what I did last night :rolleyes: which what I thought wasn't much :rolleyes: :heart:

Take it easy with your back, bro. Momentary awesomeness on your honeymoon isn't worth the years of pain, not being able to play with yer kids, or not being awesome on the anniversaries. :horny:

today's diet

meal 1 ON shake with water...no oats b/c i went a little crazy last night with the anpb :evil:

meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites

meal 3 a few baked meatballs (left over still from nye don't want them to go towaste)

meal 4 1 can of tuna

PWO On shake with banana and oats

meal 5 baked chicken and wild rice

just a note...MY BACK IS FAWKING KILLING ME TODAY!! i hope it feels better later when i lift shoulders. i'm going to be pissed if it affects my standing ohp...getting stronger on these. if it does i'll prob do seated dumbells or something...not sure.

Well if your form is not on those all could jack you up worse. You screw your back up and it can immobilize you, I know. If your back is not feeling it I don't think it sounds safe to go and do heavy weight on spine loaded exercises... IMO.

yeah i know...i hate limiting my training though...so annoying!! it makes me not want to lift!!
trying seated db shrugs today...we'll see if that works

Hope your back starts to feel better! Messed up backs are NO FUN at all! Mine has a tendency to get squirly at times but nothing in the last year or so thankfully ;)

my goals .....hmmm obviously i want to look great but i haven't set any near term goals and i think that has affected my training...well i think more so my diet then training. going to cut like a mofo ....and then after the wedding do a nice bulk again for about 3 -4 weeks. i put weight on pretty easily and if i did like a 6-8 week bulk i would get to 200 lbs. i've been at that weight before...it feels like alot to carry around even when i was in shape (10%bf at 200...that's pretty in shape i think)

anyway we'll see what happens....i just have to make sure i keep the anpb away from me before bed :evil:.....almonds seem to be doing the trick lately

i did standing ohp's light yesterday against your wishes :evil: i did them light b/c it was very painful putting any stress on the back. i did 95x10 slow and controlled....elbows tucked in tight. did that 4x and then went on some fluff press machines....tried seated db raises but didn't like them at all so i went onto the cables. following that was bent over delts which didn't bother the back so much...and then seated shrugs with 70's. then i stretched and laid on a heating pad for a few hours

goo boy is such a fawking toolbag....i hate him! i want to put his a$$ in a triangle or a kimora and have him tap out!!!
 
for me....2 quarters are pretty light = no stress on lower back. i did 4 sets of 10 pretty easy....could have gotten around 12 or 13 but didn't risk it. if my back is feeling good i'll do 115x6-8 depending on when i do them...if i do them first i'll hit 8...if i do them after side laterals and front raises i'll hit 6

before my injuries i pushed 155x4

Bro.. have you thought about... rather than strictly goin by feel... starting at a number..whether it be 95 or even much, much less... and just building up by five pounds a week and building some momentum and slowly strengthening your back in the process, so that u CAN MAYBE one day get to 155?

I mean the point of working out and/or rehabbing is to get back to, or better than, ur old self, no?

i wish this was true

my condition is is symptematic relief....i cannot fix degeneraitve disks. i have to stretch, do therapy, and get my cortisone shots. i'm afraid that much weight is too much for the back to endure. docs don't even want me lifting but i'll hear none of that...
 
by the way bunz...i just look at your list of supps that you used to take....damn girl!! and i thought tre's was alot!! lol

My GP recomended cortisone for my shoulder. I talked to my physioguy & he said that was a last resort. Can cause more damage by accelerated degeneration. Is that true? :(
 
don't know about that....the dosages i got i was told there will be no long term damage whatsoever. this is just to keep the inflamation at bay so it's not causing me pain. the probelm is still there and always will be...unfortunately they are irreversable
 
todays workout...yes i lifted this morning b/c i'm refinancing my apartment and my closing is at 5:30 tonight...and i knew when i got home around 7 i would not want to hit the gym. i had to drag my ass out of bed at 4:50...uuugggh!!!

Sorry about your back.... Ever tried teh hot tub? Does your gym have one?!? I have been using ours for the past few weeks after my WO's to do my stretche's in and it makes a world of a difference.

yep refinancing at a 5.875 fixed 30 year...i was originally at a 5.125 5 yr adjustable rate mortgage....only 200k more left to pay on my apartment :evil:
