dude as I loose weight under my ribs gets smaller and makes my handels look bigger. I think genetics have some guys more vascular then others.
 
Yup, that happend to me first too... weight comes off different places at different times... finally my lower abs are getting sucked in and the handles are going.

I think that genetics reason is an excuse. We ALL have veins everywhere bro... i couldn't see them this winter when i was a higher bf %.
 
I wasnt giving an excuse. I will go get some pictures of BB that are both extreamly lean and show how some are more vascular then others.

Sarge, your DIET will tighten the skin like you wouldn't believe ... You saw the booty shot, before and AFTER ... Yohimburn didn't touch my ass ... diet tightened my booty up... and you're already feeling this good after a week or so ... it's great, I'm very proud of you :) Patience my dear :)

Under 'edit profile' you can change your "Custom User Title" which is where that appears... not sure if non-plats have that option, and it will continue to change as your post count changes...

waaaa I wanna do a competition... we should have a longer one :). After this one is over ofcourse. I'm posting monthly pics in my gallery anyhow. We'll see at May 1st! Ofcourse I only got a 1 month comparison compared to two months :(

Not sure what's going on. I mentioned before about my bench strength going now. Now I've notice my squatting is going down. I've been on a training cycle, where my workouts for a given body part are too far apart. Between my cycle, & life getting in the way, it stretches around 2 weeks between.

He is starting at a better base then me... but I know I thought the same thing. Fuckin jump on the band wagon dude. This thread really has turned into nothing but a place for a group of us to talk and keep motivated. Works well for me...hardly even deal with that much outta it really. I havent posted up the vasc pic because my dad fuckin chopped off the top portion of his finger on a table saw today. Fuckin crazy! Little ch=unkcs of skin and bloos all over my garage. Ill show you the X rayws...HALARIOUS! Guess he wont be coming to the gym with me for ahwile. Hes on mad amounts of drugs for the pain, and can barely talk. Diet this weekend....not so hot but not TO bad. Lifting also missed a day but I am not to worried about it and will be hitting it real hard this week. Well I got an exam to do tommarow morn before class so I gotta hit the bed.

I've lifted in the past and am fairly knowledgeable but lacking some in experience... right now I'm working on a 20 rep squat progression (5 pounds per lift). Started at 115 and now am at 160. Won't go too into it cause I've got a journal going. Basicly I'm learning right now and taking data looking for a starting point for a more laid out program in the future.

So your saying that you lift heavy and good for 2 weeks then kinda slack 2 weeks? You have to exspect to get weaker because if i rember correctly you were lifting consitantly for awhile....slow down...and so will your lift. Well there are times you need to take off and there are times where you need to be displine and do it if you like it or not. All about priorites and balance. You know what to do.

I lift consistently & have for a good 2 yrs now. But, you know how your workout cycle revolves around 3 or 4 workouts? You do those same workouts for 2-3 months, then you change things around, shock the system a bit. Will this workout cycle is 5 workouts. & due to other demands on my time, work, family, illness, etc, plus my own recovery ability, sometimes my lifts are 2-3 days. Due to this (5 workouts, X 3 days) it is sometimes over 2 weeks before I get back to workout 1 again. That means 2 weeks between benches, 2 weeks between squats, 2 weeks between D.L.s. We all know each body part should be worked once a week, so I should have known better.
I've set up a new routine, & I'll see how it goes in a month. Hope that muscle memory is as good as they say.

HiDnGod: Damn that's quite the length of time between major lifts. Not sure what you mean with your workouts though, mine vary workout to workout, day to day... always something different, I can't go by a set routine, it's just not me... I like instinctual training. Alternating dumbell and barbell work and different exercises, ect... keeps you on your toes and makes it fun for me at least... you'll find something that fits your schedule, keep looking towards your goal though!

Hidn 2 weeks between workouts would be devestating to me. Sarge and I lift about the exact same style... sometimes wierd because we work out the same things most of the time and have the same thoughts without telling eachother.ANYWAY. Fuck routine workouts man. Honestly go the the gym routinly on a day... and do what feels right that day. I pretty much have the same basic workouts every week for the past 6 months and will just throw one a couple sets of something differnet if I feel thats what I need. Try it. I dont ever look into the mags and listen to the ADD ONE INCH TO MY ARMS IN A MONTH.... because half of them I dont like or exercises just dont do it for me. Its all about you!

I workout hard, but I don't feel a pump all the time, so I go by a set routine so I won't overtrain. Sometimes during a workout, I'll throw in an extra exercise if I'm feeling like it, or drop an exercise if I'm pinched for time, or energy. But usually I go with my program. I don't read the mags for workout advice anymore.
BTW, I did Bi's tonight & felt the pump. :chomp: I don't usually, with arms.

Is it possible to over train if you dont get a good pump or sore? Shit if I dont feel a pump or sore the next day I felt that I did something wrong. I wasnt implying that you did read those mags by the way...just putting it out there for the guys that do. You never get sore arms? NOt even tris? man.. if i didnt get that feeling I dont know if I would even workout. I dont know that much about over training but if you have lifted for 2 years I admagine it would be pretty fucking hard.

I get the post workout "ache", about 2 days after the workout. Usually in my tri's, quads, calves, abs. Sometimes back, obliques. Rarely bi's, forearms, hams.
I do read the mags, sometimes I see a new exercise I haven't tried before, but the full workout programs they endorse are too much for me.

On a personal note. I had a max set for me. At the end of my workout my buddy showed up at the gym and I wanted earlier to max out on skull crushers. So at the end of my workout I told him to spot me. Got in 5 reps at 95lbs. By far my best. within 2 weeks I will go for 105. Feel great. By the way what do you guys think of when you are about to lift? After you guys tell me yours ill tell you mine.....that sounded :rainbow:
 
Back on track today, Yahoo, back to the gym! I actually can't wait to do cardio....I think I still may be sick, ha ha :)

Good for you! I like to do cardio when I am sick. Makes me feel like im working it off. I dont know if it helps but I feel it does. Althought lifting real heavy does the oppisite and makes me more sick if anyhting. I think its because my body is trying to recover all the muscle and forgets about the rest. Hope it goes well. I ran my ass off last night for a good 15 min.

Are you fucking serious!? that is crazy. People will do anything to be lazy. Even buy a 300 dollar camera to do it for em. Sad. Do you go to one of those country club gyms? I used to go to lifetime fitness but it was just full of lazy asses and people just sitting around taking up space. Powerhouse make me look like an ant. Motivating.
 
i punked out on the 5x5 this week...

i'm just feeling lame, so i did some different exercises today...

leg press 5x5 of 270, 360, 450, 540, 630 - last set was pretty heavy...

incline dumbbell press 5x5 of 40, 55, 70, 85, 100 - last set was not even heavy, i could have pumped out 3-4 more...

dumbbell lat rows 5x5 of 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 - last set was same as above...

cable crossover 2x10 of 40...

lat pull down to forehead with rope - 2x10 of 100, 80...

i'll do another homemade version on Thursday and Saturday, and get back on the 5x5 next week...

i think i'm thinking about golf too much, and it's taken over my existance for the time being...

Yes, both of my gyms are very nice, NON lifetime & not "powerhouse' like either.

I love them both very much :)

haha you have 2 memberships!? Wow. I love powerhouse. Its real close. all the right free weights. and machines. Not usally busy...but lately because they had a special 135$ a year. People flocked in. OH well they will mostly be gone in a week. DZ....I dont know how you get threw those 5X5 workouts. Seem like it would get boring to me. The gym is my time to be by myself and just blow up and let loose. But if it works it works! HOw are the gains comming?I finally got to PR set yesterday with tricieps. Benhind the head dumbell press. 100lbs by 6. and skull crushers 95lbs by 5. They are destroyed.
 
Well guys the Hickster might be going back to jail tommarow. So I ate like it was my last day and ate enough junk food to put a small child into a comma. I dont know for sure but i bet its about a 50/50 chance. So if I do show up for awhile.....you will know why.

lol No. Its funny to listin to all the shit heads talking about how big they will get in jail when serving for long periods of time. Unless you can steal the whole blocks worth of trays there is no way you could get in enought protien to get any mass. Its all starch. And you eat 3 small portions a day. The water you drink comes outta a toliet/fountain so that sucks. And its hard to do good workouts without weight. Some small guys can get pretty lean because they dont have anything in them and will do mad amounts of sit ups and other little cardio. You do have all day. I will just exercise all day just so I can sleep at night on the shitty plastic mats they give you. Other then that.....Its a walk in the park :)

Well I am not in Jail..but I hate fuckin lawyers with a passion. This dick head has no problem taking the checks that I give him. But sure enough I show up to court and he doesnt. So I am pretty much stuck there and the judge is asking me where he is! Like its my fuckin responsibility to babysit his fucking dumb ass! Now nothing is resolved, the judge is pissed and I will get fucked next time I have to go to court. This shit is rediculous. Im going to try to get my money back and fire his ass but Im sure that wont be easy. FUCK! Im so fucking angry....I cant describe it.

They will take into account that you were there, when is your next date to appear?
 
I rather be in jail and getting this shit over with. The only good thing is if I do have to go to jail it will be at the end of my semester and wont hurt my wschooling as bad. My grades have fallen behind with all the jail/deaths bullshit so now I am trying to get all my shit in. But on the good note I finally crushed my 250lb hand gripper. Fucker took me almost 3 months but I got it. :) This month for training wise has been amazingly powerful for me and have set numerous lifting personal records.

PRs this week have been
95X5 skull crushers. Last one needed a little help
my 250lb handgrip I know it might sound gay but thats huge for me.
Military press 140..legit all the way down to colloar bone.

Now its time for the rest of the week. I Think im going to for all PRS this week. I feel to good and powerful. Its funny I feel like i got someting back in the gym. For awhile it started just feeling like work and I wasnt enjoing it as much. I got back into the gym because I have some "anger/temper issues" as some people like to call them and it helps me vent.But then after i Got over my ex and all that jail bullshit I was kinda happy and just didnt have the intesity i did. But now I do what I used to do in contact sports/fighting/lifting. When I am about to lift I breathe heavy. and think of that feeling right before I punch someone in the face and the adrealine i get is AMAZING. Either that or think of someone punching my mother in the face.....I just loose it and take out all that energy on the weights and it feels great.

I try not to *think* about anything, but that just doesn't happen in Bunny land these days... If I think too much I lose focus & my workouts suffer (well not really, but aren't as GOOD as they should have been) ... I'm usually just in the zone, IPOD cranked & tearin' it up ... My focus is me, the weights, those striations I see popping, the cuts I see forming & whatever else my instincts lead me to do ...

Only time I tend to let the 'problems' or daily frustrations seep into my mind is when I'm running ... pound the pavement & leave those issues in the dust ... at least, I try to.
 
Chest and back work out
(supersets) Do one rep of one exercise and go immediately to the other and do a rep of next exercise until all sets are done. Rest for 3 minutes, go onto the next set of exercises.

(4 sets of 15)

Lat pull downs= 65
Incline Bench Press = bar

Negative lat pull ups = body weight
DB incline chest press = 15

Seated Row = 50
Peck deck = 65


Still not as strong as I know I can be but will get it back! She is not going to do body fat until next week, cause she realizes the #'s will not be right. She says from this workout I am going to look hot for the summer so here's hoping! I also do legs twice a week so that should be fun! :) Diet is the same. What is nice is less time with the weights.
 
Either I think about the lift, envision the rep completeing itself, or I don't think at all. Just zone into my music. Classic rock from High skool daze, or heavy pop. Some rap.

Yup, now I do 4 sets of 20 reps for legs and 4 sets of 15 for upper body.

That is why I say, I can do this, I can do this!

eg: 15 of one arm barbell curl then immediately with no rest do 15 tricep bench push ups and then go back to the arm barbell curl (do that four times) rest for three minutes and off the the next set of exercises!
 
I also like misting to hard/metal rock with a hard beat. I love when I can just get a rythm and feel like a machine to the beat of the music with some heavy dumbell curls.

Alright I did Bicieps today. I think my next goal will be curling 135 on olypic bar a couple times....Im tired as hell. Hope training went well for all. Ck hope your healthy! Bun I know you did your shit. And darge im going to order the Coc 3 today.
 
135 on a straight bar is a shitload to curl properly...

i've YET to see anyone do it with decent form...

135! Holy Crap! You got me by a country mile. The mostest I can do for reps is 95 on a cambered bar.

My buddy can curl 135 on a oly. Although he is a 6 3' 260lbs and a great athlete. I can curl105 without much slop and I need to set my goals high. I finally got a routine that I can get my biceips in shock and get KILLER pump and ever sense I have been getting noticable stronger by the week it seems. Althouhg I have not lost a ton of weight...around 10 lbs in 2 months. I have still added a good amount of weight to all my lifts.
 
Tell me how hard that Number 2 is. I am told It might be even alittle harder then a 250. So I might order the 2 and 3.
 
Chest is looking way better than before... long ways til' where I want to be though... know what I mean!

My chest actually looks way smaller, lol... had alot of man boob fat going on there before! Outer pecs are way more develop than inner... that's a focus still for me.

Yeah I put up the 80's at the end of my chest workout last time for 3 or 4 reps I dunno... never gone heavier cuz I (basically) never have a spotter.

I'll have to get my chest warmed up and try to hit the heavy one's in the begining sometime.

Hick do you have a goal right now? I'm curious... if you're working on leaning out... or you're back to just getting big while not getting too fat?

Im not really cutting or bulking. Im trying to do both. I know people go its almost impossible to get stronger and loose fat. Its easier to do cutting then bulking. But I have had success and it just takes longer. That way I keep with it. And when I get my AS they should just speed things up a little bit. I dont really care to be ripped. And i dont wanna be a powerlifter either. A good in the middle. Powerful with definition really. Maybe 12% at about 215lbs.
 
Gotcha... yeah it definetly takes longer... and with the more muscle you have the more calories you'll burn.

You'll get there... I can't wait to have a 6 pack for the first time in my life, lol.... I need to aquire it and take pictures of it at least once, lol... we'll see where I go from there.. probably bulking, but more controled "dirty"/clean bulk.
