Who was it posted the vids? I've been thinking about them, & I think I've found a problem. I always get some shoulder pain when I do bench. I've always kept my elbows as far out as I can get 'em. I'm wondering now, if my arm position is causing that pain. I'm gonna try bringing my elbows in closer to my sides. about what angle is best, 45 deg. out?

Thanks bunny, I will! Day off, sticking to the diet though, but feel like crap and can hardly walk today. Had to drive hubby to work really early this morning, (stupid theives) so going to take a long nap hopefully this afternoon if the :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: wears off. as you are lowering the weight you want to bring your elbows into your sides... this not only keeps you from injury, but allows a greater mechanicla advantage and allows you to push more weigh...

as you bring the weight up, you will flare your elbows out once you get closer to the top of the lift...
 
Do you rely more on triceps at the bottom of the motion?

I'm going to have to watch my form and see how I'm performing the ROM.

Bench kinda comes natural to me. If it doesnt feel right it proboly isnt. BUt diet again is going well. Although I havent ate much I ate good. Time to cook. And Ill get the vid posted sometime soon.
 
lol. MOst of those grip guys look and are real dorks. They know nothing really aobut diet and exercise but a few do. Ill post up other interesting ones when I see it. I got into after going to the arnold classic and you can compete to win a shirt or something stupid. BUt I thought it would be fun to fuck around with at my house and get big forarms. Its fun.

Depends. If you arnt going to be all that into it I would go with Heavy Grips. www.heavygrips.com. You can get the whole set for liek 60 bucks or something. And trust me. After 200 it gets HARD. I cant yet close the 250 but I am about a penny thickness away. But heavy grips arnt that accurate. Some 250s are easier then others and the same with the rest. Now If you want to get certified "captins of Crush" You gotta buy the COC brand at http://www.ironmind.com/ I would suggest the 1,2,3 and trust me you wont be able to close the 3. But when you do you can get verified and certified. haha its dorky but I will do it. Going to go try my 250 right now.

Honestly... you better be able to even if it was Karma... your either in a lab on a computer or in your room all day, even in class u can do that shit... hell no i can't at work... so you've got 50+ hours a week on me training when i'm at work, lol.

You will be able to. Haha. My forarms never repair cause I constantly do them. Any time I am on elite I sit here and see what I can do. I really over train them but after awhile it become addicting.

Fuckin missed a breathalizer and drug test...After that I to have Delts. Maybe chest and Delts...Maybe just chest. Depending how I feel. By the way. Sarge you still tkin thermorexin? Seems like the only thing it does to me now is give me pit stains :) I know its still working for other reasons but its annoying. Have had trouble sleeping lately to... I dont know if its from the Trex because I never had a problem with it before...

I was thinking of combining Delts and chest too that way if I did do just delts tonight they would most likely be less functional the next day.. but if i combined or supersetted some exercise chest and delts... hmmm, i dunno yet, if i do, go that route i gotta start eating more in preparation for a long workout, lol.
 
Yea. I know what you are saying about diet. I think that most weight loss products are bullshit. Maybe clen...but can we really call that a legit product? I too hate long workouts.... usally no more then 55 min. I just get too tired and exhausted exspecially after a all out chest workout. Exspecailly cause I like to do incline throguht decline on chest presses and at least 2 sets of flys. But you never know... maybe ill get into the zone.

That's why my during workout shake comes in clutch sometimes... cuz i like doing cardio before lifting a little bit and some after... but i'll sip the whole shake throughout... it's working well for me. Give it a shot for a while if u want.

Protein/Dextrose/Glutamine ... and pop creatine before workout, i like PureCEE... that shit's bangin'!

Lmao I have been taking PureCee for about 3 months now. Good shit. But as far as other supplements goes... for the price of NO Explode, Glutamine, etc.... I can get Test. lol Thats all I am trying to do righ tnow is get enought free money together and start my cycle. The only suppelments I buy = PureCee, Muscle Milk, Whey, Multi Vs, Fish Oil, Flax Seed. Maybe I will try that workout shake... I drink a liter of homemade iced tea..... maybe thats why I have trouble sleeping :evil:
 
With a head cold, and feeling like crap is it safe to workout. I am pretty sure I have an ear infection in both ears. I don't know if I am going to but I feel guilty already for thinking I might not go today.
 
eh, hard to say... go with how your body feels.

Cuz if you're lifting hard and heavy your body is going to be trying to fight an infection and heal up your muscles... it's up to you. I'm sure a medical doctor would say don't workout til' your better, but it's up to how you feel I guess.

Personally, if I HAD to go to the gym, either to keep my sainity or for goals... I'd go light on the cardio, so crazy HIIT stuff. Take it easy, low intensity...

In this case, I'd really listen to your body and rest.. I agree with Sarge, of course, but if you really are 'sick', working out may end up delaying you even MORE ... you need to be the judge & weigh the consquences here .. taking another day to get better, pushing it and getting worse ... make the right decision, only you KNOW how you feel...

Got the executive decision from hubby on the phone, he said don't work out and go to the doctor!. So going to the doctor this afternoon, getting some back pain, and considering it is back day, the whole workout thing won't be happening!

Can you tell the guilt, it's good and bad! at least it shows I am committed or obsesed:rolleyes: and tomorrow I will take Sarge's advice if I am feeling a little better and take it easy on the cardio! I have Saturday and Sunday to make up for today!

ALright now I am frusterated. For the first oOOooo about 6 months Every time I lifted I would be sore for a good 2 days. Lately although I get great pump and feel in the gym. I just havent been sore really much at all. Still slightly with squats and tris and a little chest. Do you guys feel blown out after every workout? How long are you sore for? I like being sore because I know that I worked the muscle as hard as I could. I still go all out in the gym. Although I notice not having the straight up anger and wrath that I did. I really started lifting when my life got shitty with my girl so I had a lot of emotion at the gym and would just fuckin loose it. But now I am fairly content and happy where I am......it might be fucking me up..... I dunno Im done talkin. Didnt get delts in.

Have you tried a new routine? different exercises on the muscles, different cardio?
 
I havent started a cardio routine. But I have mixed up the workouts SLIGHTLY. haha I had such good success with my workouts though...hate to change em up. BUt I gotta do what I gotta do.

looking for soreness from your workouts is not neccesarily condusive to growth... if you get seriously sore, you probably not allowing your body to repair before you hit it again... not sure what your lifting schedule looks like though...

i haven't been sore in over a month, but am still making gains...

I never really ache after a workout. I just get tired. Certain muscles will feel it 2 days later. Quads, tri's, pecs mostly. Some in lats & calves. Never in Bi's, hams, or delts.

have you been doing anything diff in eating around your workouts. it could be that you are repairing quickly. i dont get sore for that long anymore every since i started a proper diet around my workouts.
 
Well I have now quit counting Cals. I jsut eat Clean 6 times a day in small portions. I can still get some groups sore. But like 6 months ago when I first strated off I remeber feeling like I couldnt even move the muscle... and would be able to put on like 5 lbs on every lift the next week. So then I started counting cals at 2600 lost some weight. And all my lifts stayed about the same. So that was going good. Then I platued. Weight stayed at 197.. lifts stayed the same, weaker some days stronger others. So now I quite counting cals and I am at the same body weight but stronger. I will say it again.. and about tos trat my first cycle.

I just weighed in at 193 lbs. Lowest I have been sense I was I was prob 15. Platue didnt last long :) GOtta lift all weekend becuase I missed 2 days during the week. Plenty of work to do. Have fun guys.
 
I weighed in at 193 lbs mid afternoon (with food in me) at the doctor's today... still got a little tire goin' around that's Gotta GO!
 
you may have platued bc you didnt lower your cals once you dropped weight. your cutting cals of 2600 now become almost your maintenance and you should lower it another 100-150 and so forth.

on another note, i got out my goal 315lbs on bench. im happy esp since im starting my keto diet sunday and im a little nervous about losing muscle. we'll see how it goes.
