i disagree. After I finished watching the movie my first comment was "Wow, what great acting."

I personally thought he was incredible.

I think he is a great actor, but I dont see his performance (which is basically him acting drunk and fruity) as award worthy.

It really doesnt matter in the end seeing as Sean Penn will win anyway.

Did I say that? Whether or not Hanks deserved for Forrest Gump is a matter of opinion, but his performance was miles ahead of Depp's.

Yes, Depp was hilarious and entertaining...the best part of the movie, but it does not add up to an Oscar.

Depp was awesome as HunterS. Thompson in Fear and loathing in Las Vegas as well.
