Clinton pretty much had Bin Laden wrapped up in a neat little box with bow on it being handed to him and he turned it down.

Yup. Case in point, after the attack on the USS Cole an armed predator drone had bin Laden confirmed in it's sights and ready to fire. Clinton was on his way out in 3 months and saw no need to fire which may have ended his presidency on controversial terms.

1) If a journalistic news service skips over minor details like the difference between the word "scene" and "seen", then who knows what other details they may have skipped over.
