I did HST for 4 months.. the best part for me was I added 20 rep heavy breathing squats. It was totaly intense My goal was/is to work up to 1.5x bw for 20 reps. Last time I did it I was at 270# for 20.. Totaly intense and I grew everywhere from them.. my arms grew bigger from my squats! TRUE!

yes i've done these before but not with heavy enough weights. after HST, i will do the 20 rep squat program, if i know i can get enough food during that time. what else does the program consist of for the week?

i'm going to do HST, if somebody can help me put it together. i know some basic things and i've read every article on the site 4 times now. i just dont know what the split looks like. i would like to do 2 sets for every lift

you could probably do anything

i can only lift at my school for a couple more weeks until the asshole coaches start piling in and telling me i cant lift without doing their shit program.

do the coaches watch you that closely to know that you aren't doing their program?

yes.

i have a plan now though. instead of any DB movements, i could use a barbell (ie: curls) and for legs i could do front squats and STL and toe raises with a loaded barbell instead of full squats. probably wont get as great a benefit, but it might have to do

wow that sucks, but don't you have anything at home? I heard you say something about having 390 lbs of weight lying around the house if you quit powerlifting

yes, that was my plan in my previous post. however, i dont have a squat rack and i only have 20 lb DB's

Then just don't do squats j/k

I don't have a squat rack either, I just have to squat down under the weigh ton my bench rack, but be careful putting it back though

i tried that once about 3 months ago...with only 185. i couldnt rack it. way too dangerous
