Jack-offs at the gym!

Being Old & Small is no excuse for bad behaviour. I'm probably one of the oldest guys at my gym but this has never happened to me, probably because i'm one of the meanest looking LOL

this doesn't happen at my gym

everyone has respect for one another

shit i'll chase someone across the gym to make sure they are done with a machine

keep that composure fellas

Good for you Bro. Self control, An ultimate expression...I hate rude inconsiderate Muth's, but in that b!Tc#s defense - He Jus Ignorant! Has no sense of Gym etiquette. So you just got to expect that kind of sh%t sometimes and hope MoFo's don't give ya no excuse fo CRUSHING their scrawny necks!

Most of the time at my gym, or gyms that I have worked out in my life, most guys respect each other. Occasionally, there is a jack-off like this guy, who probably figures that hell, he made it to his 50's, been nice to everyone all his life and now he's just rude to people..I call that the old guy syndrome.

The only thing that really annoys the hell out of me are those jack-offs who put 10 plates on each side of the leg press and don't even have the common courtesy to remove them for the next person..and this goes the same for bench, etc.. Or the one that urks me the most, is the IDIOT that works out on 2-3 different machines at the same time and holds up everyone trying to work out..I see the gear-heads do this and it's all ego, imho. I understand it, believe me, but when there are people in the gym - time to work out on one machine at a time.. At that point, I just say fk it and mosey my ass in to one of the machines, many machines that he works out on simultaneously, and just take it over..fk that dude..but, if the guy is obviously working out on ONE machine, then I def. don't move in on him..that's just rude...always have to ask. that's just politeness :)

Am I the only one that thinks there was a slight over-reaction here? I mean this was a machine right? So you simply had to wait until he was done his 80lb set and re adjust the weight (it's just a matter of pulling out a pin) and continue with your workout. Yeah the old dude was rude, but maybe he misunderstood your tone. And I don't know what the policy is at your gym, but I always thought it was common courtesy to let someone work in with you when you are using a machine that simply changes weight by the adjustment of a pin. The way it sounds to me, is that you implied that HE had to wait until you were completely done before he was able to use it.

Ya know, I've been waiting for the day that happens to me. I have no problem at with someone jumping on it while i get a drink of water as long as they respond to my polite request to work back in. But for some tool to respond the way he did is just outright disrespectful and he probably has other issues if he's acting like that, especially as an older guy. Good job keeping your cool bro. I think what you said was justified and on point.

he doesn't care, the older lifters are usually cool but the 'Chairman of the Board' types of older guys who spend the day as mr bigshot in the office tend to carry that attitude with them.

My gym is terrible for that nonsense as it has a racketball club (a magnet for old guys who like to hang around the locker room naked)

thats my type of gym! address?
