I dunno, we all went to N.O. for my sis in law's bachelorette party and it was an awesome time. I paid for myself. I had no problem with it. But if i didnt want to spend the money, i didnt have to go and my sis in law isnt some asshole who would hold it against me.

That is the thing smurf, it all depends on who asks you. Brides don't just ask their close friends anymore. I was a bridesmaid 8 times in 5 years. I had three girls stand with me, one was my sister. By the time I was buying dress number 4, I was done with stuff like this. In the beginning these parties were fun but after awhile they became a drain and more and more expensive. The brides became more demanding and bitchy too.

Lol nicely played, although I took the same concept into effect the other night just a different scenario, got loaded.. Let the scenario play out, and now I am well on my way to being single .

As for the original post I would just offer a decent reason why you can't go, like you can't afford it if she's mad well maybe she shouldn't have a destination wedding, the whole purpose of those are to give friendly invites out to people that can't afford them so you don't look like an ahole when they decline.
