Is this rude?

I could see that being for a bachelor party...women aren't going to spend that kind of money on partying...

At least a couple hundred of it is going strictly toward partying. I'd consider that no problem if I weren't already paying over $1,000 just to fly and sleep there. And she probably isn't going to want to eat anywhere particularly affordable. I spent a few hundred on my best friend's bachelorette party in November, but we stayed in Tampa for it. And I spent a few hundred on one in Miami a couple weeks ago.

My PM inbox is now accepting applications for a sugar daddy who'd like to take care of me through the next few months until this is over, because I'm not wasting my own money on that bullshit. :)

lol shutup.

I'm smart with my money (I think, anyways), so I could spend that money on it. It really doesn't have to do with not being able to afford it. It has to do with the fact that I think it's rude to ask me to spend that much, whether you know I can afford it or not, when you know about all the other shit I need to buy for your wedding.

And for the people saying it doesn't sound like I like her much, I do. We're not best friends, but we hang out a lot. She's not some completely random acquaintance. I just don't like this act specifically.

I think its totally obnoxious to ask girls in their early 20s to spend that kind of money on a weekend. Its one thing if you're in your late 30s and 40s and have a lot of disposable income but people in their early 20s don't. You might be able to afford it but I'm suuuure you can think of a million other things you'd rather do with that money. She should at least have another smaller party here so people that don't want to spend thousands of dollars (even if they can afford it but for whatever reason don't want to) can participate, I think. 20k on a bachelorette party is stupid; the wedding shouldn't cost any more than that but thats the way weddings are anymore, the weddings cost 100k and the parties are all 20k...I don't understand it. I ran into this and didn't do some things and because everyone thought I could afford it, got pissed. I couldn't afford it. Think about every time you're a bridesmaid you have to spend all that money, you'd go broke trying to please everyone. I will spend 1k on a weekend, tops. If I really like you.

Yeah. Besides her family members, I know a group of the other girls can't afford it. I want to go to grad school, I could use that couple grand. My dad and his wife are also renting a house in France for a few months this summer, I could use it to visit them. Her bachelorette party just isn't on my list of priorities of things to spend that much money on.

Except when I get engaged/married, I'm going to invite you and demand you spend thousands to be there. lol :qt: And then I'm going to make you my 22nd bridesmaid.

roofie everyone at the pre party and never leave the hotel..

I think it is rude for her to ask, you are not her father..

lmao, what happen to the days of going to a bar and getting blasted for a night

i could do drugs, get wasted and enjoy a great hang over for less than a hundo
