I do my legs 2 to 3 times a week, but I play lots of basketball and soccer, some people can't handle more than once or twice a week. I remember when I started working out on my legs, I couldn't walk for a week afterwards, lol.
In my opinion once per week is more than enough for quads and hams. But it may be ok twice per week depending on your cycle goals. Just remember to rest enough.
Thanks felles, I think I am going to train them twice a week and see how it goes, I think I will be able to recover fast when ON. But if I see myself hurting then I will just stay at once a week. Thanks for the input.
I compromise and I squat every 4 days and deadlift every 4 days. Since they both work the same muscles but in different proportions I think of the squats as a kind of active recovery for my erectors and deadlifts as AR for my quads and hams (I do SLDL on squat day)
