In search of suggestions

I am somewhat new to weight training, started my first routine about 8 months ago. Since then I have gained a ton of muscle (went from 115 to 140lbs and still lean). My program consists of a 2 day split. mon/tues and thurs/fri with weekends for rest. My problem is that I have reached a pretty tough plateau. It's been about a month and a half since I have made any gains. I'm thinking I need to switch up my program. I'm stuck at which of the many programs to choose from. I'm 16 years old. I'd say I'm looking for an intermediate level program. Does anyone have and reccomendations as where to go from here?

sounds like your doing good with watever routine your using to put on weight like that in eight months. but anyway there are a shit ton of different programs on this site you could read up on and try... and your going to hit plateaus every know and then- just keep eating and liftin

My suggestion. Use periodization to get brutally strong on the basic compound barbell lifts. Squats, Rows, Presses, Deads, Chins, Dips, etc. Forget fancy muscle mag body part specialization routines. They are worthless. You do not need an arm day. Check out this link. Madcow Training - Table of Contents, 5x5 Programs, Dual Factor Theory, Training Theory There is no fluff here. Getting as strong as possible with the basic tried and true lifts while eating at a caloric surplus will take you to the next level in your development.

keep confusing the body with different routines every 3-4 months and lift as heavy as you can with perfect form...don't push yourself to lifting too heavy you're only 16

concentrate on the basis: deadlifts, squats, bench, military press, etc...

do some machines and cables for diff ranges of motion
