Importance of the Diet

I hear everyone saying, "it's all about the diet" and I understand that I need a high protien diet, but is there somthing I am missing?
 
well, I see these posts saying that they attribute a good diet along with the gear to their success. I just dont know what they mean by a good diet.
Also, I take it that drinking beer while "on" is a bad thing.
Why is this?
 
The reason folks say its all about the diet, is simply this. Diet will determine what you get out of your workout.

Whether it is gaining muscle mass or cutting, without proper diet you will achieve neither very well.

A true indicator is look at folks in the gym. You can tell those who have diet down, they actually change their body composition in some manner. Then you have others you see that work their ass off, but never, ever change. These are the folks who do not have diet mastered.
 
"good diet" for WHAT!? Bulking...cutting?

you've got to be specific bro.

define "drinking" 1 beer or 12 in a sitting, the later being horrible for one's health.

The Alcohol question has been answered NUMEROUS time on here... look around for it... do some searches, you'll find tons of info on it.

Bingo: find your own metabolic pathway rather than DISTURB it. Your endocrine system is a pretty delicate thing that can be tweeked, but you have mucho tweeking to do before that even becomes an afterthought.
