Any sin makes you fall short of the glory of God and requires the atonement and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
In this sense, all sin is equal in the eyes of God because God "cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance."
However, that doesn't mean that the littlest of sin such as occasional cussing is as severe as murder or denying the Holy Spirit. That's just logical.
"I the Lord will forgive whom I will forgive..."
You think that Christ will plead at the judgment seat of God on our behalf if we are murderers the same as if we had occasional potty mouth?
Not everything is so black and white.
My interpretation is that sin is sin in the eyes of God.
Humans are the ones who've made one seem worse than the other over time
