if you wait till you hit your complete genetic max to cycle, wont you lose your gains

wont you just lose all your gains when you get off? or are you guys always recommending to wait until youre closer to your genetic max, not neccesseraly at your 100% genetic max

I would think your gains would be harder to keep as you go further beyond your genetic max. The human body always wants to maintain the status quo and will fight to keep it that way.

not everything is black and white. think of it this way. if you can't gain off of roids cause you are doing things wrong, then don't expect to keep your gains after roids. if you are close to your genetic limit you will be more successful because you already have a great workout program and diet in place.

I think the body can maintain something like 10-15 pounds past your absolute genetic limit. I doubt that 1/10 of the members here are at there genetic limit. Even the ones that are juicing.

How would anyone ever know they are at their genetic limit? Plateaus are broken through all the time naturally. Its not like God writes you a note and tells you the best youll ever be genetically is XXX lbs, XXX% BF.
By the time anyone has any idea what their genetic limit is its too late as they are declining due to old age.
So at some point you gotta just pull the trigger and start roids before time runs out and you end up being a 50 year old juicer.

Putting a genetic limit into a number is too ridiculously hard. I never reached mine but I was close @ 192-195. I didnt feel I needed to get that extra 5 lbs or so that I could have naturally.

Yes I would recommend getting as close as possible to that genetic max. WIth all of our bodies being different its hard to judge who can keep those extra pounds over genetic max and who cant. Like the post above 10-15 is realistic but beyond that, who knows.

Like Stevesmi stated your genetic max just means you have dedicated yourself enough to that point that you have "earned" the right so to speak to artifically inhance your bodies limits. There is really no sense using roids prematurely. Its a waste of gear and money, the body is an amazing thing and its extremely receptive to good food and hard work especially newbies and people willing to put the effort in.

Everyone has a limit. It's about getting to a place were you are ok with the gains you can make and maintain it through diet, rest, and workout routine. Lifting heavy works to keep the mass on. No one can be on steriods forever, you'll jack yourself up.

Thats not practical, people dont operate like that. Guys train reasonably, make reasonable gains, start roids at a reasonable point in their lives, etc. Thats best case scenario. Worst case is what you see on this board every day, the teenager wanting to start cycling, the guy in his 20s who started training 6 months ago and wants to hit the sauce, etc etc.
Nobody on this board that I know of has trained to their genetic max before ever touching drugs.
