I consider this something such as breakfast and dinner... it may be too hard for an athlete to begin the day without food because in breakfast you give your body nutrients that will use readily given that you were asleep for about 8-10 hours without any food. So your body will absorb vitamins quickly... at night is something sort of what it would do to your body to go to sleep without eating anything?? something like that
>>Is there a large importance put on additional potassium other than what I get from a multi vitamin?
depends on how much potassium the multivitamin contains.
>>Why take glutamine post workout AND 2 hours later?
Glutamine can contribute to glucogen muscular recovery after they have been decreased or exhausted at the end of a workout session. So after workout you give your body what you exhausted and then you add more for maintenance during the day.

This is because the quantity of creatine that can be accumulated in the muscle is somehow limited, that is why is is necessary an initial loading phase followed by a maintenance phase, so that it can be easier to maintein the total levels of creatine that can be absorbed.

Even when Vit E is known by its antioxidant properties and prevention for heart diseases, it can play an important factor to prevent acquired muscle loss. It also helps to reduce muscle fatigue during exercise because it reduces inflamation supporting "prostaglandin" production which prevents spasms of the muscle by moving calcium and oxigen to the tissue.
Vit E is also necessary for maintaining the skeletal muscle system, and helps for iron absorption.
