If a girl is interested she will at least make an attempt to engender a good impression. Decent girls are pretty sensitive about being perceived as out for money, especially for something as insignificant as change of a twenty

I have a very hard time accepting any sort of gift or help from anyone especially from men. This stems largely from the fact that I am very proud and also because I have serious trust issues. I dont trust that anyone will be decent enough to me to not throw stuff like that up to me even though I am nothing like that. I have been taken advantage of out the wazoo and call me silly, but I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from knowing that I gave back every cent, gift, whathaveyou... even gave back MORE.

I gave back an extremely expensive bday present because I felt that the person who gave it to me chastised me in a harsh fashion that I didn't deserve. Party went off the deep end... I said, "I want YOU and not expensive stuff." "I love YOU and not your money."

For this I got a "See ya, I am outta here" email.

If that aint fucking confusing I dont know what is.

There is a difference though from being in a relationship and accepting help from someone who cares about you, and what she did (if intentional and not simply being a ditz).

From my experience there are very few in betweens with people. The women I have known are either in the "I feel entitled" category or "I have a hard time accepting help." Both attitudes are a little extreme in my opinion.

But what would bother me about her in particular if I was the guy would be a sense that she didnt think very highly of me. Even assholes try to make a good impression, even when it is just for show. Her not even pretending to wish to do so would tell me that she doesnt take any notion of "we" at all seriously. Less than that really, its like saying you are so insignificant to me I dont give a crap what you think of me
