It is so great to have everyone's support on here as well, I definitely feel a TON better, you guys are awesome!

Again thanks, and best of luck to you TOO!!!

I busted up laughing at this.. I was thinking the same thing! What the heck are you going to eat on a cutting diet?? Or are you going to go on a food free diet?

I know, I know it's been bad. :worried: I just haven't had an appetite again this week, for some reason. Ask Mr. IP, I've actually been trying to figure out why I'm just not hungry...It has been REALLY frustrating!

Maybe it's your subconscious controling you. Gaining is hard on the head!

IP how often are you checking your weight?

Like SG said gaining is hard mentally.

Thanks Miss24 for stopping by!! ;)

I usually check my weight about 3-4 times a week.

I seriously have had ZERO appetite the past week. I think I could have gone all day yesterday without eating and I would have been content...it has REALLY been frustrating me.

I realize that bulking is extremely hard, and after 4 months of doing it, I think I am ready for a physical as well as mental change...hopefully after our R&R I can get down to business and start leaning out!! ;)

Four months is a good run, so maybe you should just start to cut and do another bulking cycle a little later. Seems like you're heart really is losing interest in it and there's no reason to make yourself miserable. Good run, girl!! Ya' did GOOD! :)

I just cant get over this...your BMR alone should easily be ripping through those cals you are consuming alone, not even the ones burned in your heavy w/o's.

^^ I'm with SG... I hope the future R & R gives you some time to relax & take it easy. Sounds like you need it with your work lately.

This is what I was thinking (Buns), I was looking through your log and it looks like on a great day you're eating 1600 cals, but you're mainly at around 1200 to 1400, those calories look more like cutting range than bulking. I worried of how low you will have to go with the calories to cut.

Are you under extra stress? How long have you been eating at this calorie range, and what was your range before this?

You are so right SG! My heart isn't into bulking right now. I think that I need to take a break and switch my focus to leaning out and then go back to bulking at a later date. Thanks for the encouraging words, I really needed them right now. Today has just been one of those days, that you wished you would have stayed in bed. I can't say that I have them very often, and I can't remember the last time I had one, but they suck!! PLUS, I am still having trouble getting food down, which is extremely frustrating me.

I know that I gained over 10 lbs while staying realtively lean, but I feel like I failed in my bulking stage for whatever reason. Though, as Mr. IP reminded me, this was my first EVER time to bulk and actually eat to gain weight on purpose. Given my past and my background of figure skating, it was very foreign to me. So, I will take this all in with a grain of salt and use it as a learning tool for the next bulking cycle.

Ok, that was my vent session of the day. I guess I feel a little better.

Anyways, I hope you are having a fantastic weekend with your little visitors!!

Thanks Buns, I really do need some rest and relaxation right now. One can only push so hard for so long!!

I am definitely counting down the days till we leave!! :qt:

As far as calories go you are right, not sure what else to say...I possibley killed my metabolism in the past, and I am just now starting to get it back up. If you have any suggestions, thoughts or opinions, I am VERY open to them!!

Well, good news is that I have done pretty much ZERO cardio during my bulking phase, besides the little bit I have done the past two weeks. I am planning to start off by keeping my calories the same and just reworking my program to include an immense increase in cardio. I will plan on doing this first, before even trying to mess with my calories. Once I decide to start cutting, I will be removing all sweets and trying to eat as clean as I can, given the circumstances I am in.

Miss24k said:

I have to admit that I just started tracking my calories at the start of my bulking cycle. If I had to guess, I would say that I was barely getting 1000 a day before my bulking cycle :worried: So getting my calories up to 1400 and even 1600 has been a tremendous improvement and to say the least, a challenge! ;) We will take it one step at a time and see what happens. It will be like one big experiment with my diet and seeing how my body works and responds!!

Just wanted to say HI and I hope all is well :).

*Props on the hard work and training...hang in there and ENJOY eating more calories while you still can.

This sounds like a solid plan, IP, especially since I have joked often that I am in my cutting phase and eat more calories than you do on your bulking phase. From what I can see you're doing pretty well with clean foods, despite the circumstances you're in. Other than the cookies that you occasionally eat and the noodles, I rarely see any inappropriate food in your log. If there is absolutely anything that we can send you from here to help you out with your cutting phase, please do PM me.

RT, you are soooo sweet! Thanks so much for the offer...I will let you know. :qt:

You are telling me...we have somehow gotten into this "no bueno" club so now we need to freaking refocus and create a "kick A$$" club. ;)

BTW SG - YOU ROCK!!

Roonytoons wrote: Nice to see your daily logs again, IP! I really hope the R&R will take off some of the stress you've been feeling lately.

Thansk RT - I think that when I come back from R&R I will be ready to kick some A$$ with my workouts and I will start cutting as well for the summer!! I am very much looking forward to it :qt:.

I might be picking all of your brains as well on what choices are better then others out here, since I have such limited options. It should be fun and CHALLENGING!! (But then again I LOVE challenges!!)

I am so retarded lol I forgot I posted in here, and I kept thinking I'm forgetting someone but couldn't remember who, I'm so sorry huney, I've been having a rough couple of days.

Well now I can understand how come you are "bulking" with your calorie intake, nd although it's low it makes sense if you were barely eating 1000 cals before (I don't know how you did that lol). Although this wasn't healthy!!!

Sounds like a good plan to stick to around the same cal intake but just add the cardio. I hope you enjoy your rest time, it's obvious that you need it, and nothing wrong with that.

I can only imagine how difficult it is to follow "a plan" whether it be cutting or bulking given your current situation. :rose:

I don't know if I told you or not, but you and Mr. IP ;) are my favorite couple on EF, both of you are amazing people that give some much support to the other ladies.

It has been a little harder to bulk, then if we were back in the states, but the big challenge will be cutting. I will probably be utilizing all of the knowledge that you wonderful woman posses, over the many weeks of my cutting cycle!! :bigkiss:

Yes R&R will be wonderful, we are both looking forward to it and are definitely counting down the days, which are VERY few now. :p We have a pretty amazing trip lined up.

Ok so work has pretty much sucked this week!! We have been VERY short handed, and I have basically been running our operations department single handedly, when normally we have approximately 5-6 people to help running it. Plus on top of that my manager decided to get all bitchy with me the other day for NO reason and that was definitely the straw that broke the cammels back. I ended up breaking down, I guess I had just had enough! I am not one to cry and show weakness very often, but man did it feel good. Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband that supports me and loves me - he just set there and listened to me vent all of my frustrations!! I definitely felt better afterwards. Have I told you how excited I am about my R&R coming up soon?? ;)

Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL weekend!

I wish I could have seen your face after the first swig of that concoction!!! :lmao:

Thanks so much Buns and treil!!! You girls are so wonderful!! ;)

Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL week!!

Take care

Enjoy your vacation every last bit, IP! Really sounds like you need the time off. Sure, we'll miss you and Nelms, but we're happy to know that you're both getting the R&R that you deserve. :bigkiss:

Hi, everyone! :)

Time for an update...

Nelms and I just finished a whole day in Sydney! We walked everywhere (at least 3+ miles) and got to see the Opera House, the Harbor Bridge, the Botanical Gardens, and Sydney Tower - what an amazing day! We leave tomorrow morning for New Zealand and start "winging it" from there. In other words, we have a hotel for the first night, and then we are on our own! :) We're renting a car and seeing where it takes us...LOOK OUT! Nelms and IP will be on the loose in the land of the Hobbits!!! LOL! :FRlol:

*Bunny*, we saw your request for pics in Mermaid's thread. We have taken over 200 pictures so far, and we haven't even made it to Mermaid's, yet. Heck, we're only 5 days into the vacation, and we are trying to figure out how to get more memory for the camera without getting KILLED on prices here. We should have gotten a memory card in Thailand ($40 for 1GB), but oops ...live and learn. :)

Well, I guess that's it for now. The i-cafe we are using is freaking HOT, and we've been out all day. Time for some raspberry vodka and diet Sprite and R&R in the hotel room. :) :arty:

Have a GREAT WEEK everyone! :) We'll check back later!

G'day, mate! ;) :D

You two sure don't sit around much. Sounds like a great time so far. Glad to hear you're enjoying it! :martini:

<perks up> Did somebody say raspberry vodka? </perks up> :p

I'm so glad to hear you and Nelms are having such a wonderful vacation. You post brings back some memories. I went to third grade in Sydney and even though I was barely nine, I still remember so many little pieces of that year. I can't wait to hear all about Auckland!

Here's to a lot of R&R to both of you - you certainly deserve it... :martini:

WOO HOO!!!! You finally get a cocktail!!!!

Have one (or three) for me & the ladies :martini:

Yay for pics... I can't WAIT to see some

I am trying my best to hurry back, but some people just aren't cooperating with my plan!! lol It will be nice to be HOME and back into a routine! ;)

I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!

(Now I just need to catch up on work a little ;) )

Hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC week!!!

I will try and start posting up my food intake and workouts tonight. I will begin the cutting phase within the next day or so (YEAH, I am SOOOO excited!). I am trying to work out a plan of how I am going to accomplish it first, with the options I have, as well as just trying to settle back in a bit. ;)

Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, hello lady :wavey:

Glad you're back

Now let's get cutting! I'm with you, girl (and doing well so far.........)

So happy to see you are back.... :)

I hope your time away was nothing but wonderful!!!!

awww thanks so much girls you are all so awesome!!

Boy, I will definitely need all of your help durning this cutting cycle. Suggestions are very WELCOME!! Especially with my limited options! heehee

Good news though, they opened a "health food bar" at our cafeteria!! It still isn't PERFECT, but man it is a start!! :) I am SOO excited.

Great news!!! Even though you are cutting, just don't cut the cals too much ... my only suggestion. I'd rather have you eating more & doing some cardio than barely eating at all ... I gather from your previous posts, I know in the past this has been a concern (i.e. before EF) so be patient with the cut. :rose:

 OH wow, we had an awesome vacation, but man is it good to be back "home". The vacation was so wonderful. Nelms and I got some much needed rest during it, as well as staying active and seeing some amazing things. We had one minor bump in the road, but were able to get through it and enjoy the rest of our vacation. So, I told you that I had a story for you all so...here it goes. Nelms and I were on a hike in New Zealand, enjoying ourselves thoroughly, it was absolutely amazing - NOTHING like anything we had ever seen. BUT, when we returned to our rental car, the back window was busted out and the side passenger door was open...Let me tell you how far my stomach dropped when I saw this (makes me sick just thinking about it). When we finally got to the car, all that was left in the car was A LOT of shattered glass. Everything that we owned had been stolen and all we had left, where the clothes on our back. Luckily, I had ALL the cash on me (except for about 40 dollars) and Jeremy had his license and ONE credit card. But, our passports, ID's, Clothes, makeup, toothbrush etc where all gone!! I can't begin to tell you how horrible it is to be in a foreign country and not have ANY identification on you!! After the shock of it all and pictures of the car, we headed back to the nearest town to report the incident to the police. We must have been at the police station for nearly 3 hours before we finally were able to leave. This all happened on a Thursday afternoon and we were due to fly to Mermaid's on that Saturday...we thought that there would be NO way that we would be able to pull it off, but we were determined to at least try. Considering we didn't have our passports and I had NO identification what so ever. So we got into our broken, ghetto rental car that night and headed toward Auckland (three hours away) to try and get our passports replaced ASAP. We arrived in Auckland about 1am Friday morning and we stopped at a grocery store to pick up some toothbrush's, toothpaste and a brush. We then stopped at a internet cafe to send emails to cancel checks, credit cards, as well as inform our company that we would be needing new travel orders and ID's to get back into the country. I think that we finally got to bed around 3 am and then were up again at 7am to head towards the embassy. To our surprise, the embassy was able to produce new passports for us in less then 5 hours. Nelms had to sign a waiver stating that I am who I said I was, but other then that, they hooked us up (200 dollars later)!! After retrieving our passports, we began the process of replacing our stuff, one item at a time. Man was it a pain in the butt and I HATE shopping!!! I think that we wore the ONE credit card that Nelms had OUT :( - It definitely set us back, but thankfully we have been blessed enough to have the means to replace majority of what we lost...except for the mementos that we had :( Mermaid and P where awesome as well, they went shopping with us the day after we arrived, as Nelms and I were still short pants and workout outfits. They were definitely troopers waiting for us everywhere - kudos to them, have I mentioned that they are awesome people? Just checking! ;) So...that is the excitement that Nelms and I experienced on our vacation.

Below are my numbers BEFORE dinner, I will post dinner up tomorrow morning. I hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL Morning! :qt:

Thanks so much bunny - my goal is to keep my calories up as long as I can get away with it, and just increase my cardio - we will see what happens!! I would rather have the extra energy ;)

You are very right though, in the past, it has been a huge concern. Nelms is trying to fix that though (he is so wonderful to me!)!! heehee

Damn Im sorry about what happened. Karma will take care of who ever did this to you guys. A-holes!!! I cant believe that all of you dealt with all that so 'calmly'. I dunno what the hell I would do .... I get angry just thinking about it.

OMG!!!! You two continue to amaze me ... you are such a great couple. I can;t wait to meet you both

It's all about the big picture:

1) We were safe and unharmed.
2) We have been truly blessed to be in a situation where we can recover from it, financially. 2 years ago, I truly don't know what I would have done.

So, yes, it sucked replacing everything. But we're both just thankful that we COULD.

Besides, we still got to see Mermaid and P on time. :) :wavey: to Mermaid and P!!!

Must spread Karma before giving it to IP OR NELM's again!!!!!!

You are both awesome people and you are both ALSO very STRONG people (mentally & emotionally). You've got what it takes to get thru situations like what you've gone thru - obviously! I'm glad everything went smoothly at the Embassy and you're back safe.

I'm no expert, IP, but everytime this has happened to me in the past, it was an indication that I wasn't eating enough beforehand and my body was holding on to every last bit that it could.

Case in point: I was eating 1000-1200 cals to lose these annoying 3lbs I had gained during a summer on the beach, and for the life of me, my scale wouldn't budge. I went to Vienna for 4-5 days and ate a load of pastries and croissants while there. I was sure I had done some added damage only to weigh myself when I came home to find out those few pounds I had desperately been trying to lose gone. So go figure.....the same happened again when I was in India and ate loads of rich, creamy curries with tons of heavy buttery naan bread. :chomp:

Morning, Ice! :wavey:

I have a lot of catching up to do on your journal, but I thought I'd come and say hello. Silly me started reading backwards, which proves to be a waste. haha.

Have a good Saturday!
