I absolutely love the apple before workout...it is fairly low in carbs, for a fruit, and it contains a good amount of fiber as well. PLUS, it has a nice sweet taste that is absolutely fantastic on those low carb days!!
Checking in, this is great info between you & FBC. I'm adding in a few strawberries or a small apple on my low carb days, with protein, about 30-45 minutes before I go workout. Your 1st meal of the day also inspired me to buy some cantelope/melon... Yum. Like you said, it's sweet- so a good treat, too! Plus, I'm hoping it gives me a little boost when I'm lifting, too.
