As far as the carb issue, I think it's the case with ANY low carb diet... the 1st week or so you're going to see a huge drop b/c the low carbs... that's why people are like "Wow in 2 weeks I lost 20 lbs on the {insert low carb diet of choice} ..." even though those drops can be seen in the 1st week as well (i.e. 20 lbs in 7 days ... woo hoo). It's water people!!! Anyway ....

oh I agree, 100%!!! I was just trying to figure out the reason why my weight was fluctuating SOO much...only becuase I am a nerd and LOVE this stuff...I will learn. ;)

I did a carb up last year ... and took pics ... IMPE, I was flat ... REALLY depleted, then I carbed up & blew up ... OMG it was over the course of about 4-5 days, Flat... little less flat, Bloated, PREGO, full muscles... I took a pic with my hands on my belly b/c I looked pregnant and I thought it was hilarious ... after that day, next morning, and the following one for that matter, my muscles filled out really nicely and I looked fuller ... I dare NOT step on the scale b/c I think at that time I was still hung up on those #'s and that would NOT have been good when testing out a carb up .......
I am a LOT better then I used to be, the numbers USUALLY don't bother me, though I have to admit to having my moments :qt:

I know this won't offend you, but when you low carb and look for sources, Broc is a good one, and guess what Broc is known to do... other than make you feel all full of air, bloated, gassy even ... Have you been eating a lot or Broccoli or SOMETHING that is making you react this way? For some time I would feel all bloated b/c my stomach was having some ype of reaction to the oats I was eating, but they were too good to give up, so I just rolled with it, and new if I have Oats, then well, My stomach was going to 'expland' for a few days ... some little irritation going on inside... but these are things you pick up over time as you experiment get to know your body... :)
I don't eat a TON of broccoli, ONLY because they don't have it every day. I normally eat it, at most, every other day for one of my meals, unless I am lucky and can get it for two. I am, as you mentioned, still learning and I am having a BLAST in doing so!! (I absolutely LOVE to learn) Thanks so much for your help bun's, I will LEARN soon enough!! Be patient - heehee :verygood:

Again with that said, I hope it's nothing serious and you should probably start taking some Beano or another digestive type enzyme to see if that helps ... Gassy or bloated or not, Beano IS a dig. enz and helps alot of people.
I might have to try a digestive enzyme when I get back to the states, and see if it helps me and my body!! Thanks again Bun's you are the COOLEST!! heehee :bigkiss:

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!

Happy Monday to you ALL ;) ;)

Lots of information in here this AM! :eek2: How are you feeling now? Less bloated? Well, that's probably not relevant after a high carb day...but how were you this AM of the high carbs.

Hmmm...well, if you are hungry it is easy to say eat more but that may not be the solution. Have you assessed your diet lately? Your carbs seem a bit low for a high carb day. They are even very low on your low/moderate carb day. How did you create this diet?

One more question...

How long have you been doing this and how are your changes so far?

I have been on this breakout for about two and a half weeks ago. Both Nelmsjer and I can see quit a few visable changes. I plan on taking measurements and pictures soon...

I have felt a lot less bloated this past weekend...though this evening I was feeling bloated again with a stomach ache (IP = Frustrated). But, I think I have now narrowed the issue down to kidney beans - I didn't have them ALL weekend and was fine, until I had them today!! IP needs to stay away from the beanage!!

Typically, you want to keep your protein the same for all days. I'd keep your carbs at bodyweight for moderate carb days. For high carb days, you want ~1.5 * bodyweight. Fats will be lower on this day, but not MUCH lower. You could switch and do a no carb day for your off and cardio only days. That would mean no carbs from any fibrous or simple sugars, though nuts and oils as well as avocado is allowed.

You've set your schedule well...you're doing lower carb days before you hit the weights which is a VERY good thing.

Sunday (No Carb) - Day Off
Monday (High Carb) - Heavy Weights
Tuesday (No Carb) - Cardio (HIIT)
Wednesday (Moderate Carb) - Moderate Weights
Thursday (No Carb) - Cardio (long: either a run or incline walking)
Friday (High Carb with one cheat meal) - Heavy Weights
Saturday (Moderate Carb) - Cardio (HIIT)

What do you think about that?

Hey, IP! Had a lot of reading to do to catch up here! Just letting you know ..... I had an employee complaining of stomach aches for about 2 weeks. She drove herself to the ER and they found that her appendix was close to rupturing. They yanked 'em!

Don't want to freak you out......but you just never know.......hopefully it's just the beans!!! LOL
