IP how often are you checking your weight?

Like SG said gaining is hard mentally.

Thanks Miss24 for stopping by!! ;)

I usually check my weight about 3-4 times a week.

I seriously have had ZERO appetite the past week. I think I could have gone all day yesterday without eating and I would have been content...it has REALLY been frustrating me.

I realize that bulking is extremely hard, and after 4 months of doing it, I think I am ready for a physical as well as mental change...hopefully after our R&R I can get down to business and start leaning out!! ;)

Four months is a good run, so maybe you should just start to cut and do another bulking cycle a little later. Seems like you're heart really is losing interest in it and there's no reason to make yourself miserable. Good run, girl!! Ya' did GOOD! :)

I just cant get over this...your BMR alone should easily be ripping through those cals you are consuming alone, not even the ones burned in your heavy w/o's.

^^ I'm with SG... I hope the future R & R gives you some time to relax & take it easy. Sounds like you need it with your work lately.

This is what I was thinking (Buns), I was looking through your log and it looks like on a great day you're eating 1600 cals, but you're mainly at around 1200 to 1400, those calories look more like cutting range than bulking. I worried of how low you will have to go with the calories to cut.

Are you under extra stress? How long have you been eating at this calorie range, and what was your range before this?

You are so right SG! My heart isn't into bulking right now. I think that I need to take a break and switch my focus to leaning out and then go back to bulking at a later date. Thanks for the encouraging words, I really needed them right now. Today has just been one of those days, that you wished you would have stayed in bed. I can't say that I have them very often, and I can't remember the last time I had one, but they suck!! PLUS, I am still having trouble getting food down, which is extremely frustrating me.

I know that I gained over 10 lbs while staying realtively lean, but I feel like I failed in my bulking stage for whatever reason. Though, as Mr. IP reminded me, this was my first EVER time to bulk and actually eat to gain weight on purpose. Given my past and my background of figure skating, it was very foreign to me. So, I will take this all in with a grain of salt and use it as a learning tool for the next bulking cycle.

Ok, that was my vent session of the day. I guess I feel a little better.

Anyways, I hope you are having a fantastic weekend with your little visitors!!

Thanks Buns, I really do need some rest and relaxation right now. One can only push so hard for so long!!

I am definitely counting down the days till we leave!! :qt:

As far as calories go you are right, not sure what else to say...I possibley killed my metabolism in the past, and I am just now starting to get it back up. If you have any suggestions, thoughts or opinions, I am VERY open to them!!

Well, good news is that I have done pretty much ZERO cardio during my bulking phase, besides the little bit I have done the past two weeks. I am planning to start off by keeping my calories the same and just reworking my program to include an immense increase in cardio. I will plan on doing this first, before even trying to mess with my calories. Once I decide to start cutting, I will be removing all sweets and trying to eat as clean as I can, given the circumstances I am in.

I have to admit that I just started tracking my calories at the start of my bulking cycle. If I had to guess, I would say that I was barely getting 1000 a day before my bulking cycle :worried: So getting my calories up to 1400 and even 1600 has been a tremendous improvement and to say the least, a challenge! ;) We will take it one step at a time and see what happens. It will be like one big experiment with my diet and seeing how my body works and responds!!

Just wanted to say HI and I hope all is well :).

*Props on the hard work and training...hang in there and ENJOY eating more calories while you still can.

This sounds like a solid plan, IP, especially since I have joked often that I am in my cutting phase and eat more calories than you do on your bulking phase. From what I can see you're doing pretty well with clean foods, despite the circumstances you're in. Other than the cookies that you occasionally eat and the noodles, I rarely see any inappropriate food in your log. If there is absolutely anything that we can send you from here to help you out with your cutting phase, please do PM me.
