people always think powerlifting is just a bunch of fat dudes with guts lifting heavy weight. they don't realize you have to be shredded to make weight. i was like 5-6% body fat at most when i competed.
In the heavier weight classes 242 lbs. and up, most lifters do have guts but lift very heavy weights. However I've seen 181lb. and 198 lb. powerlifters that could easily step on stage at a bodybuilding show and do well. On the other hand, if you're competition weight is 350 lbs. odds are you're a fat guy lifting heavy weight, LOL
