Dude after the fact yea but at the time i just acted. Prolly not the best way to deal with anything but the guy was hurting an animal in front of 20 kids and women. I would hope hed be smarter than to press any charges besides its already been established that he came charging at me yelling so i basically defended myself
I didnt really hurt the guy just took him off his feet with a side step and a lil forearm shot to the chest. I never actually hit him with my fist

Ur golden, plus you have 20 women and children who saw him zapping the animal. No judge is gonna keep a straight face when it's described in court how you almost had the thing around the guys neck and was ready to test human compliance methodologies. I know I would have to order a 5 minute recess to regain my composure.
