I must be getting stupid, thinking about using roids. Dont know yet.

I dont know shit about this stuff. Guess I need to get one of Gp's books. All I here is "it's bad for you". But i've read elsewhere that small doses can be beneficial and not hurt you. Although it doesn't appear many are following that course.

There wouldn't be much change, I already eat like a fucking horse. Not for the sake of training, I just like to eat. For example today Ive already had fried potatoes with 6 eggs for breakfast, 2 bologna sandwiches, and a 22oz. tbone. Fuck, im hungry now. Not to mention the fudge and quart or two of milk. Except id have to get more protein and thats not a problem. I have moderate strength, when working out I can do around 225x20 on bench. Sorry, no squats or deadlifts, machine leg work only due to previous back injuries. Im 5'9",34, 240lbs. Got a beer gut. A nice big one at that. I hate ab work. So I dont do it. Never used anything except creatine, and I hate that shit cause it makes my carpal tunnel go crazy.

I haven't worked out in months-maybe a year even, and was really feeling weaker than shit so I started again 3 weeks ago. Im up to 225x12, and think I can revisist the 20 reps in 6-8 weeks. You sure can feel a difference with just little shit like grabbing a big bag of dog food.

Once I get to that point I really stall, and the only way it seems I can add strength is by getting fatter, and I definetely don't need that!

So anyways, im thinkin about it. Don't really have any questions right now. Just lookin into shit, like if asscroft would be standing by my mailbox and shit.
 
lose the gut and trim down, then hit the roids if you are so inclined. Steroids will more than likely add fat along with muscle.

sounds like you need to concenrate on bringing in the eating and getting back into the rythm of working out regularly. I was lifting steady for about nine yrs before I even considered using and only then because for two yrs I couldn't seem to gain and felt like I hit a wall. I think "sane" use can be a very beneficial tool for growth and the side effects can be controlled if used appropriately. But what the hell do I know?

don't mean to flame u but u don't seem to be into training and eating right to jump onto the roids bandwagon just yet. do some research on that first, get it into ur system for a reasonable amount of time. u should see some gains naturally if u do it right. 225x20 is not the kind of plateau u want to reach on ur bench even naturally. then when all these are right, time to go shoot urself with some test!
 
1st post... been lurking a little while...

I have a similar situation as the poster here on being TOTALLY ignorant on steroid use and effect and side effects, my situation and goals are a little different though.

I am 6'3" 100 KG's and let myself get out of shape (I do have an excuse though at 25 I shattered my lower Tib / Fib and nearly lost my leg... 2 years on crutches and traction 7 operations with external frames, pins, metalwork and then some plastic surgery really puts you on your ass... amazingly now 5 years later I am 99% recovered and without a limp... Thank god for modern medicine !!! anyway...) New year this year I decided time to lose the moderate gut I have and went about this with diet alone...

0 positive results and due to alcohol consuption I have to focus on the excersize... I am also learning that my method of crash dieting (starvation all day then relenting and eating in the evening) is totally ass backwards and probably is working against me...

A month or so back I crossed 30 and I AM DETERMINED that I am going to get myself back to hard lean physique (I actually dont desire to be a BB and be HUGE, some additional upper body is welcome but thats not my focus, especially right now first things first that can come later)...

My plan of attack is cardio (jogging) every other day (aches !!) with about 3 miles or so being covered each session and I think I should soon be pushing this up another mile (I realize this must sound pussy stuff to you guys)...

I have also changed the diet to a small doses regularly low carb, low fat, high(er) protien... Lots and lots of fruit and water...

The reason I am here and the reason I am posting is I live in Thailand and everyone who I have gone and asked fitness advice from so far has suggested steriods in some form or another... One told me to go and get a monthly Deca 50 shot the other told me to start Clenbuterol daily with the cardio... I made it clear that I was not keen on roids (and reading here and other places certainly the deca sounds unwelcome at my stage) but was considering them as I was being swayed by advice and basically ignorant... So a real THANKS for a forum like this where even a newbie and a non BB can come and learn in detail what the risk / reward is like and when it is something to be considered.

My current game plan is the T-Rex and L-Rex (slowly 1 - 2 daily) while upping the cardio... I am still considering Clen in alternation with the above and some more weight work but not until I see how things go with simple suppliments and cardio...

So comments on the plan... Sounds better than anything I have come up with so far and previous dieting / light cardio has not cracked it... Should I be trying to get more weight trianing in even if its weight loss I am after ?? More muslce mass should burn more fat at rest right ???

Also I understand this is more 'general fitness' than BB or this forums speciality but the fact that everybody and thier uncle seems to be telling me that fitness comes in a pill or a shot does make me very concerned for other people wishing to get in shape that dont research and learn... Its easy to swallow what your told (pun intended) by someone who is in serious shape when your not.
 
Trim up and get a good diet before juicing. Think about it long and hard before juicing. Pro's and con's as it could mess up your natural system. As to if you decide to juice, then you have come to the right board. Elite rules.

whoaa..... cardio is NOT the answer to fat loss contrary to what some may tell u. keep the cardio as minimal as possible and concentrate on weight training. build ur muscles- they will actively burn fat faster than i have known cardio to.
there was a time when i didn't do any weights and only LONG distance running 7 days a wk. all it resulted was a miserably skinny physique. now with weights thrown in and just 2 25 min sessions of cardio a wk (that only bcoz i am asthmatic so it helps to keep my lungs used to some amount of prolonged stress) my bf% hasn't changed much in spite of being on a pig out style bulking diet much of the time. reason- as i said muscles burn fat faster.

What r u talking about??? My workout lasted 18 minutes friday! Beefcake! Beefcake! Im tellin ya those 2 sets of curls and 2 sets of skull crushers sent me straight to the liquor store for a case of beer afterwards! And dont give me any shit on that I recall Arnold being a beer drinker. Of course im not that stupid trying to imitate him, I just like my beer.

Ha ha ha, I know what your saying dude. I've got a couple freinds at the gym who are users and there always sayin I should try it-there not pushin it-just suggesting it time to time. I seriously doubt id ever use them, but being around them for a long time it's always been in the back of my mind.

On a few lifts im right up with my gearhead partner, of course I have 60lbs or so on him. I'd like to do 225x30 with my current stats and no gear. Then maybe id get a little respect.

I know the reasons I stall around 21 reps or so, it's because I haven't changed my routine since I was 19. Once I get to that I feel like im on top of the mountain, and I start slacking off. I need to change up a bit and get past that point. I feel satisfied with it, which is probably my problem.

As far a realing in my diet-forget it. Last night I made 2 pieshells, rolled them out flat and sprinkled a large amount of sugar and cinamon on it, some butter, rolled it up and baked it. And ate most of it, with vanilla ice cream. I am not huge and fat, and if I just got done working out my arms can distract from my gut. So obviously im not to wasted out yet.

Im thinking about throwing in a couple sprints everyweek. Anyways all I know is I got a big 30 minute workout today and lots of beer to drink later.
 
You're a lazy lard ass, who eats like a pig. I bet your a good ole boy who likes a dozen brew or so a night to. 225X20 given your weight isn't shit. Get into some kind of decent shape before you start to juice, because when you drop, the media will hype steroids as the cause.

Porky, I think your plan sounds good. I believe cardio is the answer along with lifting and diet. T-rex is a great product and will speed you to your goal. I have lost 2 waist sizes this summer with T-rex, cardio, and lifting, and yes gear. But I think the cardio,diet and T-rex were instrumental.

i was talking to him and i asked him about his training he pretty much only does bench press and curls and he told me that most of the time he is too lazy to hit the gym so he just bench presses "a big ass bag of dog food" like 50 times and drinks beer between sets hahahaha

why the fuck does he keep increasing reps instead of weight?

Im gonna go down to my other place to lift here in a bit. But first I think ill eat a bologna sandwich with heavy mayo and crash outback in the hammock for 30 minutes or so. Gotta get the nap in. Do you know what those are? And yes, I actually do sometimes drink beer between sets. It works pretty good and enhances recovery, I swear it's healthfood. The only drawback is the occasional acid reflux, which is very annoying during a heavy seat when your spewing shit all over, trying to swallow it, and make your lift all at the same time. I do both low reps and high reps. I have to have big ass bag of dogs food for my big ass danes.

Ok-firstly-I came here being serious and got whaled on for being a pig. All im really interested in is strength, so who gives a shit what I eat as long as I get enough protein. I see no reason to take any bullshit off anyone, if your pms'ing because your tired of sticking grilled chicken breasts up your ass day in and day out that's your problem, not mine!

Secondly----uh, wait a minute.........oh yeah---one advantage to my style of lifting is the relaxed routine. 10-15 minutes between sets, etc. Guess what, I just got done with a bp/shoulder press routine and instead of drinking one of those SAWDUST protein packets you call dinner, im having 12 budweisers. At least. That's the best part of working out, it gets my blood pumping and the alcohol just instantly infuses my system. Ill make dinner in about 2 hours, im thinking of a big can of dinty moore beef stew and making another 3 pound cinnamon pasty. mmmmmmmmmmm.

thirdly.........well i didnt really have a thirdly but let me just say if I was to become a major league butt munch just because I looked good and someone else don't, then fuck it because your attitude is uglier than my gut anydays.
