Been scouring craigslist lately (found a nice sturdy incline/flat/decline bench for $90) and ran across this. And I thought spending $2K on my Eleiko set was excess...
Plus I see lots of people selling the regular Bowflex 'Xtreme' for $1-1.5K. Damn. Oh well maybe these people are rich
I got the bowflex revolution $3,400(bowflex unit, shipping, bowflex personal trainer dvd, mat, and tax have the receipt for proof) i set it up and it was great using it. Preacher curls were the best for me... Manual says it has 100 plus excercises but I probally invented 20 new ones by changing angle and setup. Used this machine under 10 times and really like it but kind of not using it as much as I thought since I play tennis probally 5 times a week (and when it rains i go to indoor facility) and working out strenously will get my body sore for tennis.
I had the original bowflex before for awhile and actually sold that because i didn't like the resistance. (full resistance occured only when bows fully flexed). The revolution uses a linear resistance spiralflex technology used in NASA and has same resistance going up and down which feels nice and smooth (quiet also.. old bowflex kept clanging with the rods banging each other).
Also has plates that resemble free weights so kind of is a creative idea nautilus did. So i give this machine a A- for great resistance, sturdy, along with fun factor of various excercises (along with ones you can invent yourself) but the amount of time i will probally use it doesn't seem to equal the price tag unless 20 years passes. (though im sure people that get only form of excercise from the bowflex will be good lifetime investment).
But main reason i need to sell it is because i'm in the process of getting new equipment for my business. Since I paid 3400, I'm willing to sacrifice it at 2950.00 Thats a saings of 450.00 .. No need for paying tax or shipping if buying new. You can come see that it is in great condition
I have photos but since it's basically new, you can just check out bowflex.com and see it yourself.. nothing is wrong with it and has no scratch, rip or blemish on it either. used probally 10 times really! Oh yea, installing this was pretty easy but took soo long... so you won't have to get a headache over it. Just fold it, haul it and put it in your room or garage.
