Oh, silly, I'm neither upset nor defensive. The fact is, an attractive older (over 30 and up) knows her own mind, doesn't feel like taking shit anymore, but generally has baggage (kids, prior husband, aging parents). Taking on someone else's kids is daunting when you've already had children yourself, when you have no experience with kids, it's particularly intimidating. Being in a relationship with a woman who wants to be dealt with as a partner, as opposed to a playmate, is also difficult when you're used to dealing with girls who are "footloose and fancy free." A lot of guys only want playmates, you're not interested in her problems, I get that and I'm saying it without criticism.

What makes the older women defensive is the fact that the comments about them are sometimes dismissive, like we're not attractive anymore, not sexual. We all have our preferences. Some women won't go out with guys their height or shorter, guys of another race, bald guys, skinny guys, heavily muscled guys, redheaded guys, etc. We all have our own personal preferences.
