Oh you're right, I would never think to buy someone an animal without them meeting beforehand. She knows sooooooo much more than I do about horses anyways. I've actually been looking at Clydesdales and they aren't nearly as ridiculously expensive as I thought.

Seriously, can't you buy a riding membership, eg. so many hours for $x.xx per year. Probably more $s if she's a serious rider, but then she can pick a different critter any time she likes.
