How to Put on Muscle after illness?

Hi All

Looking for some advice,male,25, 5 foot 7

Over the last 12 months I have lost quite a lot of weight, I was 14 stone, I am now 9 stone.
This was due to an intestinal ulcer, and plenty of stress/depression over this period, I kept losing weight over the months, and kept having stomach pains due to the ulcer, but I kept ignoring it.
finally, after losing my appetite fully, living on a tin of soup a day I went to the docs, had every test/camera going, turns out I had an ulcer in my intestine that had blocked/swollen exit from my stomach to my intestine, this was causing me to vomit every day after meals - hence I went the docs.

Anyway, medication has sorted the ulcer and I am 90% back to my old self, appetite has come back, no vomiting e.c.t

now...........I was always a few stone overweight previously, so i dont want to put all the weight back on, I want to use the bad experience as a positive and advantage because now I am thin,I need to put a few stone back on, but not all of it.

obvously because I wast trying to lose weight, and wasnt doing any weights or exercise the weight has just come off anywhere, my problem is I have lost an incredible amount of muscle, I am really scrawny now, but still have quite high body fat, ideally I want to get a good starting diet, but I want to pack on some muscle, but also lose the excess bodyfat, i have have slightly loose skin in some areas.
any ideas on the above? want to use my now thin frame to get really ripped, cut the bodyfat, but hod do i ensure i dont bulk up or go fat again?
i also need some strength, my body is very weak.
any advise on vitamins that can be taken after illness/malnutrition?
 
hey entourage, great that your on here! I am not to knowledgable, so i will let other guys on here help you out. Just for people if they don't know how much a stone is = to.

14 stone = 196lb.
9 stone = 126lb.

1 stone = 14lb.

only help i can be :D
 
Start lifting light and eat like theres no tommrow. High Protien/High Carbs/Mod Fat. At your weight 2000+ cals per day should do it until you get back to where you were before. You'll be suprised what muscle memory will do for you. Ive lost 20 or so pounds in the past and was able to gain it back relatively fast.
