You need to make it exciting/sexy. If you're just like, "Let me shave it next time," she might feel awkward. Maybe shower together and offer to help, and maybe even let her trim you the way she likes.

If you make it sweet/sexy/romantic/etc... she will be much more into it!

I agree~ It makes a woman feel like she didn't do a good enough job, when you put it like that, and the reason she was doing this was to please you, so she is looking for kind, encouraging words...but it is much more sexy and much more exciting when the man helps shave. I love it!!! Thrills me when my husband wants to be a part of it.
