How to eat during surgery recovery - need help

I want to get a bit cut, and maintain a lean physique without losing too much weight. Unfortunately, I will have to undergo a surgery, which will not allow me to train for 1 or 2 months. So...is it ok to just lower the calories and eat clean, or I need to take something to keep my muscle mass?

Protein is basically what the body is made of. Your muscles, bones, hair, skin etc. are all protein.

Carbs and fats are energy. Carbs are your body's immediate and primary energy source and fats are your body's secondary and long term energy source.

After a surgery, you want to maintain a high protein diet to help with recovery and prevent muscle loss, but low your calories from fat and carbs because your energy expenditure is less.

A great supplement I would look into is ostarine -> http://www.evolutionary.org/ostarine-mk-2866
Ostarine was developed to prevent muscle loss in people with muscle wasting diseases like HIV and cancer. It will help you recover from your surgery and prevent muscle loss during your time off from the gym.

I actually recommend guys use LGD during the recovery process so they can mantain muscle and then make sure you are eating clean during this time.

make sure you get that LGD from sarms1. it will help you keep muscle and burn some fat. if you cannot even go for walks after surgery then add some GW too

You need to eat as clean as possible and limit your carb and fat intake, while keeping protein high. Just listen to your body

Eating clean with a high protein intake will be the key here. You obviously will be eating less just for the fact that your activity level will be down.

I would consider adding a SARM like Ostarine or LDG to further prevent any muscle loss. Just make sure to stick with sarms1.com so you don't end up with a fake prohormone.

As a general rule, NEVER try to cut when recovering from injury/illness/surgery.

Eating a hypocaloric diet during the above will, likely, prolong recovery.

Eat at least maintenance calories. Even if you do gain a pound or two of fat, you can get rid of it later with a couple of weeks of dieting.

Just reduce a bit your food consumption closer to the maintenance levels, and make sure to reduce the carbs and fats while keeping the protein intake higher. This should be a good thing to do for you. Also, if you are getting a bone-joint related surgery, Ostarine MK-2866 would be an amazing help with recovery. It has been scientifically proven that it can give a drastic improvement in recovery times.
