How much weight do you ladies use?

Hmmmm I can't count past 10. So I dunno how much weight I use. It doesn't really matter unless you're a powerlifter trying to beat someone else's record. As long as your GF is working hard, then the weight is prolly good for her.

Ballet?

:lmao:

Yeah, Steel, you movin? Does the hubby need to email ya?

YEAH, ballet! I need some grace, elegance, balance and flexibility to make my posing the best in the house. :)

Glads: I checked out a couple of schools in my neighbourhood, but they only had teeny tiny doll-like little 5-year-olds there, and didn't look too happy about the idea of a big foreign bodybuilder joining in, and then suddenly I was back on diet and going throught the whole contest prep thing again. I'm just gonna have to prep my routine early this time and practise practise practise. Then go find a teacher next year when I WON'T BE DOING ANY DIETING, lol.

And yeah, to both of your questions: I'm MOVIN'!! OUT of the concrete box, INTO the wild blue yonder.

< ------------------- See my location?

I'm going home. Going back to school, to start from scratch all over again (WHOOO HOOO!!!) and gonna live with mummy and train and diet her and my sister into greatly improved health and longevity.

Thanks Spatts - I MAY still take you up on that in about 5 years, when I have my Masters. I'll be more employable then :)

Are you taking someone back home WITH you? ;)

Well. No. Fortunately. I think. I dunno. It's always a toss up as to whether to go on for the good times, or quit because of the bad times. I guess in our case it was simply a case of too much and not enough. Mostly too much bodybuilding and not enough attention, LMAO. Oh well. I'm now free and single and I intend to keep it that way for a good long while. I have other much more important things to do with my life right now which don't leave time for special relationships. Love can be spread around without it having to all be focussed on one person.

And just to stay with the topic here, lol, I can now do 10 bodyweight dips, strict form.

I have trouble with that too. Thought it was a blonde thing. :D Glad to know I'm in distinguished company.

i feel really weak after reading this thread, but i'll post up some of what i do.....

170 on squats, 360 on leg press, 110 bench, dumbell biceps, 25's or 30's depends on the day

i see the posts from the strong women on this board and it makes me want to push myself harder everytime i'm in the gym.

spatts: i'm in awe of your strength, and your smarts. :)

No, of course not. I shouldn't have even posted my numbers since I'm specifically training for strength. I just didn't want BRC to get the idea that he needed to "go easy" on the lady. In our gym, a PR's a PR. Doesn't matter if its 2 pounds or 20 pounds...we're happy for eachother. Improvement is always a sign of strength, no matter where you're starting from or where you're going.

I'm sorry sweetie, that last comment was supposed to come off as a joke. I knew you were giving me props :) I was just giving you a hard time Ms.Olympia:p

... man spatts ... you gave me incentive at the gym today.
boy do I feel weak, but at least we are in the gym!

Hi everyone, thought I would add on to the conversation. My numbers are not very impressive but then again I am prolly 20 years older than you guys!

I lift wo a spotter so have learned how to work around that by using excellent form and techniques like tempo, sets of 8x8,5x5,1 1/3 reps, etc, etc. Right now I 'm squatting 95 lbs but thats for like 9 sets,8 reps with 30 sec rest, various styles -pl,ol,ultra narrow stance. Deadlifting 105 9sets ,8 reps 30 sec rest. DB incline 35 lbs, BB curls 55lbs,chins x10,dips 5x5,bo rows 105x8 8sets.

really the wt is not that important,I've grown lots of muscle just working that wt lots of different ways. I'm not strong in lots of lifts but I'm injury free and making gains every week. Change is good -I cycle my wo depending on goals.

be glad your gf is wo and enjoying it -shes way ahead of the pack!
