how do you guys change up your weight lifting when you start cutting?

Yo, I've been seeing some really good results using the 5x5 workout and HIIT, the same workout I do when I'm bulking. It's actually help me gain a little strength even though I've been cutting.

i agree with what SL said.

im off, and still trying to slowly cut, so im switching to a 5x5 fullbody routine. i will still have an arm pump day on saturdays for fun though lol.

hoping to get a little bit of strength, and keep my size.

the point of training this way is to get the most "stimulatory bang for your caloric buck", since you are in a depleted state you dont have all the energy for that accessory crap. save that for when enhanced, hormonally, or calorically lol

Just add more cardio

I like this thread....good to see the different opinions getting thrown in there.

my own opinion is same as SL , go heavy for low reps..maintain strength and like thatbloke said with low carb diet in place you should see some nice results .

alot of good oppinions here thanks. i think what im gonna do is stick with low volume and heavy weights with dumbells, still sticking with multijoint exercises. i still get decent carry-over from dumbells to barbell so im really looking forward to having a fresh start when i go back to my normal training in a month or so. i may throw in a couple barbell days here and there also.

if i use new things i havent used for legs, like lunges, jump squats, front squats, etc. will it have enough carry over to keep my squats up? or probably not i havent taken any time off from back squats or benching in months and months.

yeah im cutting during pct, and a little after pct. ill be on phytoserms and unleashed the whole time though so it should help me hold onto some muscle

Hang on, I forgot to ask: You're were on & now you're off?
