How do you figure out how much to spend on an engagement/wedding ring? Girls and guys feel free to chime in please.

Re: How do you figure out how much to spend on an engagement/wedding ring? Girls and

I'd say if you want to do it right, and you know as well as possible that the chic is in love with you and you're wearing the pants (so to speak), then however much you would personally spend on your next automobile purchase is the immediate ballpark range for her ring, plus 10% or so.
Face it, if you know her as well as you should before even considering this next big step, that ring will be lastin a hell of a lot longer than your next set of wheels.
However, the conditions stated above must be met in full, or else you're asking for trouble, obviously.

But being that true love is beyond the material world, you should just as easily be able to get her a ring from a Cracker Jack box and be set, right? Or perhaps even make one yourself....you know, be creative and shit. If I was a chic that would spell true love to me.

if you really love the bitch then spend as much as you feel is right, no limit.

Even though that makes no logical sense whatsoever...I think I like you....

Spend only as much as you can afford to lose. Cause the divorce judge ain't gonna give it back to ya.

not true.

Jilted men are normally legally entitled to get their rings back because they’re considered conditional gifts. But Judge Rolando Acosta ruled that because Brian Callahan was still technically married to another woman when he proposed to the Dana Clyburn Parker, he couldn’t get back the 3.41-carat round ideal-cut diamond ring.
