Like others have said, spend what you feel comfortable with not what you think is the "norm". I only spent $2,000 and granted we weren't making much money, she still loved it.
It used to be that anything under a 1 carat diamond means you don't love her, but that was before celeb rags giving skanks an overinflated sense of entitlement
apparently the minimum is a 2 carat stone nowadays.. but if I had a girl like that, her gold-digging ass would be getting some prize diamonelle from the Shopping Channel wrapped in a tiffany box.

are you serious? I wouldn't ever wear something of that value on my damn finger, I value my damn hands to much to sport something that is just begging to be ripped off.
