Don't act like one of those cyber freaks who just wants an easy online friend for an offline fuck. Treat her with respect, and more importantly, be yourself. Also, from my past experience, if you exchange pics with her, and you're attractive, she will not run away. If anything, she'll want more pics and the opportunity to meet you. ;)

But I don't care what anyone says, please do not meet without pictures and do not give out your home number to her, at least not right away. :p
 
I've met alot of girls online at yahoo. Just keep your yahoo messenger open and they will send you IM's.

Yeah, just out the blue. One I'm seeing right now (dating 3 casually while looking for the right girl) just IMed me while I was reading EF and we started talking.
 
I met a girl on the Yahoo romance chat room. I was just myself. We hooked up about a month later. We still talk every day by the way. Just be honest, make sure she's not a freak. And see where that leads you. Good Luck
