hi im new

My name is bunni and I'm new around here. My boyfriend is maxbiceps and if anyone has any weight loss tips please help me. I started taking birth control about a year ago and I blew up like a ballon shortly after being on it. I got real depressed about how I gained so much weight and ate even more. Now I'm in the prosess of taking it off so if anyone has any tips I'm open for suggestion.

welcome to the board bunni!! u should read the first 2 posts on this board.. it can give u the basics. i too was on the pill for a yr and gained 10 pounds!!! took FORFREAKINEVER to get my weight down. and i gained it ALL on the hips and ass :bawling: . things are looking brighter now though..thank god!!:D u can try doing 60 min cardio on an empty stomach first thing in the AM. eat clean!! be consistent.. eat high protein.. moderate carbs (good ones like green veggies, fruit, whole grains) eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep ur metabolism pumped. have a couple protein shakes for 2 of ur meals. dont eat carbs after 6pm..(works for me) humm what else.. LIFT HEAVY!! take a day off. add some EFA to ur diet, a tablespoon a day should do it. if u want to try an ECA stack that would work good too.. especially if uve never tried it before. but be careful.. cause once u go off those bad boys the weight tends to creep up. no quick fix really.. just train hard, eat clean and be consitent.. even if u "cheat" and feel like shit one day.. get ur ass up and keep movin!! good luck bunni !! -- KBgrl
 
Welcome Bunni! The Pill did the same thing to me. Even when I upped the exercise and tightened the diet, I couldn't get the weight off. I think it just kept me from gaining even more.

About half the weight gain dropped pretty easily when I stopped the pill. The rest was really tough because it was all hip and butt fat, and we all know how stubborn that is, no matter what the source.

Back then though, I wasn't weight training hard and heavy like I am now. It might have helped me a lot back then, but I was stuck in the mindset of "toning" so I was just doing the light weights and high reps thing - what a waste of time. If you're looking for a tight hard body, you must feed it and train it HARD.

One more thing, if you're training hard, you MUST eat. It might feel like too much at first, but that's what it takes to grow muscle to replace the fat that the new muscle will help burn off. Read those beginners' posts - they sum it up nicely.

Hi bunny.......and welcome. You will find this board very informative and helpful to you. Read and research before you ask questions.....several topics have been discussed many times in depth. What is your diet like now??? How are you training? any cardio? give us a little more info so we can better help you get where you want to be:D

Welcome, I'm new also and there seems to be a lot of good people on this board willing to help, share advice but most of all give encouragement! Sounds to me like you're on the right track just keep reading the posts on this board there is a wealth of information.

don't think i can say anyhting that hasn't already been said... stick to the diet/exercise and believe in yourself...
if you think it is possible you will keep working at it to make it possible...
