okay so I have really been upping my workouts lately. and most recently been doing some ridiculous weight on deadlifts and clean and jerks.

well 3 days ago I went to take a dump and it hurt like hell.. it felt like I was passing a watermelon.. and since then it has been that way. it hurts to use toilet paper and it hurts to go.

my gf did some research online and felt I probably had hemorroids and said one of the triggers for it is 'straining' (deadlifts) or 'pushing heavy things' (jerks is definately considered pushing) and that it usually goes away on its own.

so I was wondering before I waste money and time going to a nimrod doctor has anyone else experienced this type of issue and was it hemorroids and did it go away on its own?

thanks

Dicey subject for dudes bro. Guys typically don't like to talk with each other about their assholes...:lmao:

But people get em who have never touched a weight in their life so who knows. I've read that having a job where you sit all day will give em to you. Consult lord google for natural remedies.

i know this sounds gross but read up and you will find the same answer. you have to just push it in with your finger and it will go away. it might come back a few times but just keep pushing it in. same thing happened to me a while ago. i started squating over 450 again and that happened. it was fucking horrible.

well just to update it went away after 4 days on its own.. just ate a lot of fruit/fiber. but from what i found on 'the googles' it seems to come and go. I will be careful when i do my deadlifts from now on.

seems to be very common among lifters

Hemorrhoids are caused by excessive straining in that area....and squats will have you straining.....sometimes pregnant women will get 'em cuz it's hard to move their bowels during the latter stages of the pregnancy...or if you're one of the lazy, unhealthy people in our society that eats crap and is straining to move bowels as well...

And before you guys ask, no I don't have nor have I ever had hemorrhoids :FRlol:

Sometimes pushing them back in works and sometimes it does not. Prep H does make it feel better and will help shrink inflamed swollen tissues in that area. If you are at home with your anatomy try acupuncture. It worked wonders for me.
Also I found out in Karate that squeezing your cheeks together real hard seems to promote the roids. So keep that in mind when you are lifting and try NOT to do that. Im talking a the kind of squeeze that makes you grit your teeth. In Karate there was this one kata that I was doing that on, MISERY! Thats just my expereince, good luck on that bro!
