Help With Tendonitis

Can anyone suggest any sort of remedy for severe tendonitis in my feet?

I have neglected to work my legs as much as i should recently, though my upper body has continued to grow. could the tendonitis be a result of the burden on my feet of carrying this extra weight? if this is the case, then at least i know i can fix the problem.

thanks.

bodhi.

the pain is on the top of my feet. a friend suggested it might be tendonitis, however he could very well be wrong.

Iwould go see a doctor as soon as possible. I have no idea what you could have done or could do to fix it. Anybody else out there? What sort of pain is it?(Sharp or dull) When do you have it? The more info you give us the more info we may be able to give you. Sorry I am not much help yet

Ibuprofen before you train...keep the inflammation down. 600mg 3x a day for 14 days. See if that does the trick.

Try MSM and large doses of a high quality beta glucan. Say, MSM 1000mg twice a day and at least 500mg beta glucan twice a day. Can also try lots of gelatin (1000mg caps or lots of sugar-free Jello).

I'm throwing this advice out even though I don't really know what's wrong with you.

Hey really off the wall guestion but where you diong a whole lot of running when this pain started? If you where it could be a stress fracture. Is it both feet?

b fold and honey roasted - thanks for the advice, i will give it a try.

brooklynboy - not running, but walking. i recently moved to a new city for the summer and, as i am without wheels, have been walking in excess of 15 km a day.

Bodhidogma, you're welcome.

I see now: you're not used to walking around so much. Just making sure, but you're using public transportation as much as possible, right?

MSM and gelatin should definitely help then. Don't try the beta glucan because it's expensive (unless you want to experiment with a new supplement). You can also try Glucosamine Sulfate and Chrondition, but I'm not sure anymore if they're really useful.
