Help With Bulking Up

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here.

I've been lifting since about May and when I started out I was about 125 lbs (5'6"). I did an eight week cycle of cell-tech and used protein shakes as well. By September I had gotten up to my short term goal weight of 140. Then in early September, I broke my left humerus arm wrestling (don't ask), had surgery, and about two weeks after surgery I was back down to about 122. I just started lifting again in mid to late November and had been taking protein, and I got up to a solid 135.

Last week I started another cycle of cell-tech. I'm still in the 135-140 range, which is decent for me.

My goal is to get up to about 155 (or more) by March. I've never done the whole diet thing and I really have no clue how to go about it. I was hoping you guys could help me come up with a meal plan that would work well with my supplements to get me to my goal weight. I've always eaten whatever I want (never watched calories or fat or carbs or anything) and before I was working out and supplementing, I never gained any weight, so I figure my metabolism is pretty high (BTW, I turn 21 in two months)..

I'd appreciate any other advice you guys have as well.

hey man, i was in a somewhat similar situation.

my height however is 6'3, my weight right now 154 lbs about so im fucking skinny!, but have put on 23 lbs since august 30th with nothing but protein shakes, good workouts, and RIDICULOUS EATING.

i always read eat a lot blah blah blah, but i never really got it. at first when looking at all the posts in the diet board with everyone so concerned about every little number and ratio of this to that... a couple big guys said fuck all that, do semi-clean bulking and eat EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. = CONSTANTLY FULL, except for before workout.

that means 6 meals per day no excuses.
take 1 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil per day
plenty of tuna, protein shakes, milk, meats, CHICKEN BREASTS, etc.

the semi clean means dont try to bulk up off mcdonalds becuase the gains will be fat.

total body workout was also emphasized to me, this meant training LEGS, which i had never done before, and doing heavy deadlifts. in fact i think that if you only did squats, benchpresses, deadlifts, skullcrushers and shoulder press (on their respective days)you will get fucking huge - FUCK THE NAUTILUS MACHINES, that is something i also did not understand.

as with anything read read read some more, my posts are only like 50 or something because ALL of your questions have no doubt been awnsered before, like mine, search and READ READ READ, on this site and others.

another thing that is key for me, 9-12 full glasses of cold water THROUGHOUT THE DAY, EVERY DAY. you will piss like shit for about 2 weeks unless your body is used to this or you have gigantic elephant balls.

eat your protein shake after working out, quickly after, with a small bit of lean meat as well.

flood yourself in water during the workout.

focus workouts on HEAVY COMPOUND MOVEMENTS, not isolation bullshit like wrist curls.

LEARN FROM THE BIG FUCKERS. Mr. X is the diet genius, tons of other big ass guys everywhere, learn from them.

i, like you, understand what its like to be REALLY SKINNY. FUCK THAT, SHITS CHANGING LITTLE KIDS.

Thanks FORTUNE... That all sounds really helpful. I really dont know when I plan on stopping my weight gains after I make 150, considering that's somewhat heavy as it is for 5'6".

I see you mentioned Mr. X. He seems to be an expert on the topic. Mr X, think you could help me out with planning a diet here?

Hey man, screw stopping at 150, keep on going.

This time last year I weighed 154 lbs, I'm just a tad over 5'7" too. I did a clean bulk much like what FORTUNE was saying and shot up to 179 lbs in about 4 months. Just eating right, and taking my creatine and protein like I should. I maintained that throughout the year and now I'm ready to bulk up again. My goal for this year is to reach 200 lbs, granted it wont be easy, but I'm determined to do it. Just keep eating and working out and you'll be sure to grow.

You can't get to big. :D
