Help Making a Diet...

I am a sports and exercise science major so I know all the basics of nutrition. I am 6'2 306lbs the last time my BF was checked (which was about 10lbs ago) it was 28%. I am just trying to lose as much weight as possible. I have chicken breast ,brown rice, tuna, and some other things. I am just not sure how to put it all together into a diet. Right now what I am thinking is making shakes with slim fast and protein in the morning along with a bowl of cherios and skim milk. I know what foods are healthy or not, but as I said I do not know how to put it together. I live in a dorm but do have an oven and stove, and when I go home this weekend I plan to get a smoothie maker to make smoothies with fruit and the slim fast and protein. I never kno how much to eat, or how often to eat or anything like that. Any input is helpful.

REALLY?

To lose weight you want to throw the cheerios right out, sat fat in them, and other nasties. Switch to Weetabix.

Whole food is always better for losing weight, always, but if you want a low fat protein shake as a meal REPLACEMENT, that would be fine, but limit to once a day.

Make sure you eat every 3 hours, good clean food, e.g,

9pm Breakfast: 3 Weetabix, Skimmed Milk
12pm Dinner: Tuna Salad, Lettuce, Cucumber, Tin of Tuna, Tomatos.. you get the idea
3pm "Snack": Piece of Fruit and 1% Fat Cottage cheese never hurt anybody.
6pm Meal: Steak/Chicken/Turkey, Steamed Veggies
9pm: Cottage Cheese/Weetabix/Lean Meat

This is pretty vague really, but if you're serious about losing bodyfat you'll obide by it. All these meals are balance, to the point they give high protein.

Just because you're here I'm assuming you do the weights, this should take you along nicely. Plenty of exercise and a nice clean diet. Don't forget, it's things like mayonaise that completely make a diet go to pot, you eat clean like this and you can expect to drop a few pounds without exericse, with exercise, woah. Well, just wait and see.
