:bawling::bawling: :bawling: It is official. I have a bi-lateral hernia.:( I am on a 30 pound weight lifting limit right now. PLEASE, anybody with experience with hernias, let me know how this is going to affect my lifting. I am feeling weaker just thinking about it. My surgery is a month away and I can't get it any sooner, which is driving me crazy. Anybody, have any thoughts on possibly "light" reps to try and slow the shrinkage? I know that the surgery is minor, but it's the recovery that is going to really kill me I think. I am lost and the worst part is that the doc said that these really can't be prevented (fucking ab workouts were obviously a waste, j/k) The worst part was that my internet was all fucked up and it took them two weeks to fix it, so I couldn't even get to the board.
Any thoughts or advice will be greatly apreciated fellas. Sombebody just point me in the right direction:confused:

you should take this time to give your body a break. eat clean so you don't put on to much fat. try not to stress over this to much, you wouldn't want to release to much cortistol. think about JP Fux and what happened with his legs.

Well like you said train with light weight (as much as you feel comfortable with), higher reps, eat clean, and remember when you do come back that the gains will be quick and you will notice them everytime you hit the gym. Injury is something we all have to deal with from time to time. :(

Thanks for the support bros! I just hate somebody telling me that I can't lift. It really fucking blows! I think that I am going to spend my recovery surfing the board and absorb some more info so that I can come back twice as strong!:user: :D

later fellas

yea, never rush a recovery..it will normally come back to bite you. Losing size is really rough though. I just came off a cyc and I am doing anything I can to hold on to my size.
