HCG Diet

I can't see how you wouldn't canabalize your muscle. You body needs energy and muscle is easier to convert than fat. So what in the hcg is going to tell your body to burn fat not muscle? That is why I would never do it...

In regards to protein defieceny
Protein deficiency

Here too, the explanation is quite simple. During treatment the patient has been only just above the verge of protein deficiency and has had the advantage of protein being fed back into his system from the breakdown of fatty tissue. Once the treatment is over there is no more HCG in the body and this process no longer takes place. Unless an adequate amount of protein is eaten as soon as the treatment is over, protein deficiency is bound to develop, and this inevitably causes the marked retention of water known as hunger- edema.

Well that assumption or fact is with a person that doesn't not perform the same exercise regimin as we do, or else they wouldn't be fat? Right? So sedentary people can get away with < 1g of protein / lb of body weight. I guess what I am saying is your 500-1000 cals better contain atleast 1.5-2g/lb of body weight or else it is ineveitable. Good luck though I hope it works out. My GF is going to start this program too so I am familiar with it as well as my companies SEC council! LOL.

I may try it. This diet does not belong in the bodybuilding realm i know. Not unless you want to look like an Olsen twin. I've just kinda let myself go and balooned up to 255 lbs. Still jacked as always i just hate wearing 38 inch jeans. I'm gonna research it a bit more too to see exactly how muscle sparing or (catabolic) this would be for 40 days.

Oh I hear ya good idea than!!!

What worries me most about this is that I would think you would cannibalize all your hard earned muscle with the lack of protein.

So true, my bud doesn't lift, just leads a normal life, but over the years has packed it on. I have a feeling that is about the only type of person that would want to use this the most.

Hell I wouldn't. To walk around thinking about how my body is eating itself to stay alive... kinda morbid if you think about it
