There was this pretty boy in the gym today (one of those guys who look like coverboy's for like a gay fitness mag) I think he was strait though, anyway he had this tight baby blue sleevless shirt on that saud "rock hard" on the front....

why would anyone wear this shirt ?

I wanted to throw a weight at his head !!!

Smaller guys in the gym tend to do that. Size people up cause thier the smallest person in the room. Bigger guys (with a little more maturity) don't care too much about anything else but thier workout.

Don't sweat it , size will come with workout and time

we had a guy like that in our gym. probably 5'10" 150 lbs, but ripped. Wore sleeveless shirts, and spent the majority of his workout talking to the ladies, lol. I swear he knew every attractive woman in our gym.
 
the funny thing is......... most of the people who replied to this thread either has one of those shirts or is one of those annoying guys everybody hates in the gym.

I bet most of you own like 20 shirts that you purchased in kids wear...... Im just sick of the typical male beefcake (tight shirt, shaved legs, wanne be personal trainer, fake and bake etc...)

can't there be big guys that do not own tight shirts and walk around the gym with a cucumber up their ass and have no ego...

I have a pretty good body but I do not like to show it off all the time, there is a time and place to show it off (the beach, at the pool, with your girl in bed)

why does muscle equal ego ?

bodybuilders should learn from boxers in the ego department, I have met world champs that are most down to earth guys in the world

that is my point also, this guy was not gay but he looked like one because of the clothes he was wearing.....

Yeah I can relate there are the "new year people" as I call them going to the gym in jeans with a "white boy" shirt and matching freaking hat!!! This makes me sick, when I go to the gym it is the one time I dont care what I look like, I mean I wash my shirt and that is good enough for me. I dont talk at all at the gym hi and bye that is what you are going to get out of me, if you talk you are probly not in good shape. There are exceptions to the rule of course.

lol im not mad, i was typing with one hand, and im a bit terse when i do that :)

now, it wasnt my point - i dont agree with calling people 'fag' because they wear something effeminate, or different. at teh end of the day, human courtship/sexuality depends on more tahn being the manliest man, or wearing what the meatballs in the gym with beards like van halen think you should be wearing to be acceptable - at teh end of the day, its all about the girls - they have sex with who they want, and its up to men to attract them.

keep your eye on the ball, imo.

personally i dont dress in extra small etc etc - im a fan of dressing in classic stuff that is well cut - normal, well fitting jeans/pants with a plain shirt while everyone else is wearing that urban bullshit, or whatever. good cuts, well fitted, and not too tight. imo women are checking you out regardless of what you wear, so its best to understate your muscularity when you dress, so you dont get painted as being a meathead or loving yourself too much.

anyway, im going to go, but imo, if you cant beat em, join em...and that skinny little model guy is probably cutting your grass big time with the girls :)

I was never one to show off much , and generally the really big people wear very loose fitting clothes, but tank tops and sleeveless shirts are all too common. As far as the gay colors go , you'll have to ask one of those people about that :-)

Muscles get alot bigger when thier pumped. My arms generally don't fit in the sleeves of a tshirt during my workout, so I have to roll them up. You wouldn't know any of that because you don't have any muscle :-) Just keep workin' out and you'll get there.

i prolly look like the biggest tool in my gym..carrying lumber in, this funny looking box that i sit on with weight on my back..chuck taylors (no one wears those anymore right? lol) goodmorinings (what the hell are those,everyone seems to think its a squat) lol

I work out in shorts, sports sandals and sleveless shirts. I dont give a shit what people think. I go to the gym to train and not a fashion show.

i guess just to clarify, I'm trying to say that I dont want to have to look at guys in tight shirts. Maybe women do.

To paint a more accurate picture, when I see guys do this, it reminds me of Ben Stiller in "Dodgeball", only to not as extreme of a degree.
 
The biggest problem I have with this whole metrosexual bullshit, is that eventually the women are really gonna start to love it, and more guys will start doing it, and pretty soon a new standard will be set, that every man will have to make himself all 'pretty' if he wants to get with a hot girl.
And I'll have no choice but to dress like a faggot, if I want to attract women.

Basically the species "man" will become extinct and replaced by the species "fag man"
