I use gloves and rarely do i use wraps...but my friend has a pair of wraps that ive been looking for that i love. they velcro on your wrists and they have metal hooks on them that sit around your palms, like the type you see in ninja movies they use to fight or climb trees or what not. they just hook on the bar and you are set to go. they are awsome.
Gloves only; I fear straps might make me hang onto a bar i might really want to get rid of for some reason. Forearm barbell curls and dumbell rows to build up grip strength.
BTW does anyone else get major calluses on the index ring and pinky fingers? If not, what brand of gloves do you use?
I have a pretty nice pair of Harbinger (sp?) gloves that are gell packed. They're very comfortable but I go through a pair about every 2-3 months before they're too many holes for them to be effective. Good thing for warranties.
