Lol. You were joking right? No, I can honestly say that these guys are like brothers to me. They are even overprotective. I will admit I developed strong feelings for a close friend once in the past. At the time, I was single and therefore, not causing any issues between me and any boyfriend. I'll admit that sometimes relationships between people and their best friends of the opposite sex can get hairy. However, it's like I said earlier. Either the guy I am with trusts me or he doesn't. THere's no gray area.

I'm not that controlling of a person and It would be weird if someone wasn't friends with people of the opposite sex, but Its pretty annoying knowing some other dude knows a lot of personal shit about my girlfriend, and whenever I fuck up, I know she's going to him for comfort.

That kind of situation makes me feel like a bitch. I don't like it at all. Even if the girl doesn't feel attracted to her male friend, he might want to shag the living dog shit out of her. All it takes is a moment of weakness on her part, or her going to him for comfort after the two of you have had an argument, and boom, game over.

It's going to take a long time to trust someone completely.

Anybody can fuck up- even after years of marriage. Happens all the time. Part of being a responsible partner in a relationship is not putting yourself in a situation where you know that, due to the fact that you are human and thus not infallible, you may fuck up and ruin a good thing.

Let me put it this way, I was really good friends with this girl for a year, nothing happened, and then she started dating this guy. They went out for six months before they started having problems.
