FUCKED up news...

bad news, over 28grams is felony in Texas I believe. I guess that is one ounce.

clean record, should get community service and 5-10 yrs of probation, with proper legal representation.

Think of it this way, if he was a Senator or Congressman he could get away with going to some fancy drug rehab program and all the publicity required for re-election!

Bro, it could be a lottttt worse. At least he has his health. This could end up being a positive experience in many regards. For example, he won't be slinging anymore. Low level slinging has a way of snowballing, it's probably better he got out of the game now...provided you don't live in Compton or NYC county clinks are pretty easy going...he'll surivive and come out a stronger man...

Nate Newton (ex-dallas cowboy lineman) got caught with 250lbs of marijuana in his van. Did a short stint on probation and in rehab. Gets caught again with even more and gets sentenced to like 6mos time served. I don't remember the exact details of it except for the amount of dope. He got off why because he is rich and famous(at least in texas) Money talks bullshit walks.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I guess so bro...but seriously, he just graduated a couple years ago with a business degree, had some good jobs since then...had some shit lined up...and now that's all over. Sure, the jail time won't be too bad, but what's he gonna tell his friends, family etc.? He just got a solid job to make some cash, while he waited to find out what was gonna happen, and now he's gonna lose THAT because he's gotta go to jail.

I just don't see how a couple zips of weed is worth all that? And I know he made the decision, he fucked up...but this is fucking so minor it shouldn't even be a fucking problem. I can see a misdemeanor, but if this happened in Boston, or anywhere in MA...he wouldn't even get shit. MAYBE probation, I just don't see how something can vary so much from state to state.

In my hometown a friend sold to an undercover several times equaling just over an ounce (they waited till it reached that high so they could get him for a felony)

he is on probation, drug test and whatnot for 3 years. fines and stuff but no jail time. He had gotten arrested previously at least 10 times (and I'm not exaggerating, this dude got an assault ticket when he was 12 for beating up neighborhood kids)

Annoying.

When this first happened, I was gonna tell him to get rick collins for a lawyer...but that would have been expensive I bet...if he could even try a case out here...I wish we had someone like him closer by.

Where you live at Bull? I think it's quite retarded that 56 grams of weed is a felony. As far as I'm concerned anything under a lb. should be a civil infraction.
