flax seed oil???

LoL!
thats crazy, its 2am,.. just got back from the gym... took my shake.. bla bla bla added my flax oil.. and i was reading it to see howmuch omega's i would get....
did say about 14g's fat... i was going to start a thread about it :D

is more then 3tsps a day too much??

I wouldnt take any fats in your pwo, it slows down digestion of protein, exactly the opposite of what you want. take it before or wait til your post pwo meal.

Yep, fats and fibre are not ideal post-workout because they slow down digestion.

Three teaspoons of flax a day should be fine provided you are also getting another healthy source of omega 6s such as ANPB or almonds.

A dietary ratio higher than 1.5 (omega-3) : 1 (omega-6) may lead to an omega-6 deficiency.

A better alternative to flax oil would be UDO's oil, as it contains a mixture of different oils (flax, sunflower, coconut, etc) and a ratio of 2 : 1 : 1 (omega-3 : omega-6 : omega-9)

Flaxseed but you cant cook with it b/c it tastes like grass clippings

You can actually make your own Udo's equivalent:

Simply miy 3 parts flax oil with 1 part sunflower oil. BTW, the raio of omega 3 to omega 6 in Flax is actually 4 to 1

Yeah, I know bro, 58% omega-6s and 14% omega-3s = a ratio of approximately 4 : 1. Not ideal if flax oil is your only source of fat.

It's good stuff, however it contains 58% omega-3s and 14% omega-6s, so too much of it can lead to a deficiency in omega-6s.

mmmm.. gonna have to differ with you there, the average western isocaloric diet is skewed heavy on the omega 6 side by as high 7 times the optimum...

If it is TRUELY his only form of fat intake OF ANY KIND, then..mmm.. ok, but that would be a mightly BORING diet... LOL...
